That looks absolutely brilliant!
If it plays as I imagine, this'll be one of the ones wii've been waiting for.
(love the pictures shot off the wall scene, must be a 'secret' picture there!)

wow that looks awsome you can shoot the paintings Smilie

Really nice. I can't wait for this game. While I didn't expect the game to end up as an on rails FPS, the new take on the game should be really good. It'll be good to see old faces Rebecca and Billy from Zero, but I'll miss Leon! Let's hope we see him somewhere =)

Looks brilliant? WTF its only a 30 sec snippet how the hell can it look brilliant? The graphics look like they came from a DREAMCAST game.

I want RE5 on the wii not this crap.

Looks brilliant and better than the first. LS

I love the distructability of the environments.
Still, shame its a lightgun shooter and not like RE4.

Ph00p, It looks good to play, on the rails style with the classic Resi backdrop? To be honest, the graphics look presentable enough, but the solution to benefit from the best of both worlds is to go multi-format, otherwise, I'll write a reader review of Resi5, let cha' know how it turned out.Smilie

Oh how shit does that look...

You've got one snazzy suped up Dreamcast Ph00p!

Looks good. Let's stop concentrating on what it's not and start getting excited about what it is.

"This man has advanced communist views ... He dresses in a bohemian fashion both at his office and in his leisure hours."

Looks good to me, I actually think this will demolish all of the other over hyped Resident Evil games out there. It drops the limited control schemes found in the previous games (yes, including Resident Evil 4) and changes them to a brilliant light-gun styled type.

For me I actually think this is going to be a Resident Evil I will actually enjoy and have fun on.

It looks better than the first trailer, but still isn't the game I was hoping for. I wanted a resident evil 5-esque game for Wii. Not this sillyness.

how the fuck does that look like a dreamcast game you blind fucks Smilie

Looks good graphically, but can't help but get over the fact that Virtua Cop gameplay has never suited Resident Evil's setting or tone. Resi is supposed to be about survivle-horror. Sparsely-available ammo and supplies, thus creating panic and tension in encounters with foes. I know RE4 broke away from this mould, but they're now turning the old games into action ones?

Yay! Go into the Arkley Mountain research lab in the mansion, sporting a minigun! Woop. Can you imagine a boss encounter? It's going to be pure House of The Dead cheese-a-thon Smilie

Yes, House of The Dead is pretty fucking good, but that's HoTD; A game that was always designed, from the conceptual and story point-of-view, to be a cheesy, brainless arcade light gun game. I don't see how that correlates, in any way, with going back to a few traditional survival-horror games and turning them into brainless arcade light gun games.

Capcom have tried it enough times before, and they've always been crap. I predict that this game will be getting 6/10s from reviewers, just like it's mediocre fore-bearers. I also predict that it won't be able to match HoTD at it's own game. It'll fall far short of HoTD4.

Resident Evil is not, and should never be a light gun game. Furthermore, 'Chronicles seems to be loosing out on the one cool thing about the previous Resi-light-gun fuck ups; It will lack a light gun. So instead of playing a mediocre HoTD pretender with a plastic gun in your hand, and feeling slightly cool, you'll be playing with this plasticy thing which looks and feels exactly like a TV remote, and nothing like a gun.

I'd put money on this game being mediocre/average, in fact. I mean, it's no coincidence that everyone's well more excited about the RE4 port than this game.

Wait!?! RE was not cheeze-a-thon before?

"Becarefull! Don't open that door!"

"I think you almost became a Jill Sandwitch."

"Its blood! I hope its not Chris' blood."

"WESKER!!!"

"Hay Queenie! Take on this!"

"This soup is not ready yet."

"Hmph, monsters. My specailty!"

Relax. Don't take everything so seriously. You look like you need a rest. Smilie

The original was, but the series has moved away from that. The remake of the original on GC was much darker in tone, and certainly not cheesy. Also, there remains the point about RE never being good as an on-rails light-gun game...

I still think it looks pretty good but whats with the crappy techno music?

True, but Halo was not met to be an RTS eather, and Mario was never redesigned to be a party game.

In short, if you do not want it then dont buy it. Complaining about it on a Message Board in the remote sector of the Internet will not help you or Capcom

Hmmm, someone laughs at a member for taking Sony Home so seriously, but then said person dose the same in lame text over a fricken spin off of a cheezy survival horror series? I smell contradiction...gee I wonder who taught me to use that phrase.

There is a difference between posting your opinion on something, which is what I have done, and creating a nerdy video on the subject.

So what if its nerdy? You do not think you are a nerd for posting on the C3 forums? Apperantly someone has not looked in the mirror recently?

Now excuse me, I have a life to get back too. Going to go out and see movies with my friends. And breath that thing that is called you know, air.

Not to mention, my video did get noticed on the intertubes, no matter how embarasing or stupid it was. Your text...not so much. Hence I achvied my goal.

Stop caring about the video I made. It was not even made for C3, you are just making yourself look sad for caring about something nobody cares about and carrying out an argument that nobody needs.

Not to mention, what you did in my other thread was pull and argument out of your ass from nowhere. Also, who the fuck made you the god damn Sherif of the forums? If you say yourself did, dont. Do you act like this in real life? Everything just screams sad about you. So please do the mature thing and drop this shit, that is, if you think you are mature enough?

( Edited on 13.04.2007 15:01 by Sidepocket )

The game in my opinion looks great so far. It's doing what they said it would do, take a different gameplay style to RE. If you think the game is crap shut up and dont buy it.
