Nintendo DS Media | Harvest Moon: Rune Factory 2 - First Screens

Despite the first game selling just over 100,000 copies in Japan, with the US release coming later this year, Neverland Company is back with a second outing in the Harvest Moon RPG spin-off 'Rune Factory', published by Marvelous Interactive. The developer has just revealed the first batch of official screenshots and it looks better than ever!

Apparently more information is set to be revealed in the magazine on 27th April, so until then check out the first screenshots of the game in the media folder below.

So I guess the original Rune Factory was popular (& it looks good) so the nice people in Harvest Moon Land (which company actually DEVELOPS the HM games?) made it a complete spin off series? Smilie

Infact, calling it a spin off series makes it sound crap, which it almost definitely isn't. So it's like a parallel series!! XD

It's a farming RPG where you can develop a clan of monsters to swarm into the mines. What's not to like?

Rune Factory is due out in the US later this year, with RSG bringing it to Europe in 2007 as well, apparently.

RF2 doesn't even have a firm Japanese date yet, so clearly we've no idea about a Western translation.

On a slightly separate note, Luminous Arc (the other recent MMV RPG) is also coming to the US via Natsume and Europe via RSG! Smilie

RSG will be releasing Marvelous Interactive's Wii games as well in Europe, which is good news Smilie

Grumbler, nothing's official yet...but their distributor was talking to me about it a few weeks ago in regards to a UK release, so I'm guessing it's 'in the pipeline'.
