Nintendo News | Singapore Braces Self for Wii Rush

Quick News - Singapore will finally get its Wii fix this week according to Gameaxis, where the console will be sold at retail as a bundle for no less than $649 (325 GBP), coming with an additional controller and game. Arguably steep, but it seems noone can prevent Ninty's continued quest for world domination.

Why such a long wait? I thought it was a worldwide launch.

Temporarily banned until further notice.

Some regions I guess take longer than others, which is weird as I got one of the first copies of Poke Gold/Silver over there.

They only released it in some MAJOR areas i.e N. America, Europe and some parts of Asia Japan etc. It will slowly progress to other countries but with the shortages going around everywhere thats unlikely going to happen any time fast.

Huh...I thought it was released world wide. Ah well. Doesn't concern me anyway.

Wow that price is crazy, although the standard of living there is high and most can afford it with the sums of money they make.
