Nintendo News | Japanese Event: 2 New DS Colours, Plus New Games!

By Adam Riley 30.05.2007 6

Nintendo has just held a special retail conference over in Japan where two new DS colours were shown off, along with a bunch of confirmed dates for Wii and DS games. Below are the two new colours, Metallic Rose and Gloss Silver, which will launch on 23rd June [ Click to Enlarge ]:

As for the games mentioned by Nintendo, they were as follows:

  • Chibi Robo: Park Patrol (NDS) - 5th July
  • My Housekeeping Diary (NDS) - 12th July (part of the Touch! Generations series)
  • Slide Adventure Magkid (NDS) 2nd August (includes slide controller)
  • Donkey Kong Jungle Climber (NDS) - 9th August
  • Mario Party 8 (Wii) - 26th July

Two things to note are that DK: King of Swing 2 has recently been dated for 19th July, 2007, so could this be an entirely different game? Also, the new DS colours coincide with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, with Nintendo clearly keen to push the latest portable Zelda.

Original Story - According to Famitsu, Nintendo will hold a retailer event in Japan early tomorrow to show off its Summer / Autumn line-up for Wii and DS. Can we expect any surprises from this? Possibly not, but new media could well be forthcoming.

Stay tuned for further updates on this and more...

Smilie oo lets hope its true Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Oh please reveal something new!! That isn't a non-game!!

Some pretty nice new colours there.

Nintendo really need new colours to boost them sluggish Japanese DS sales Smilie

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

I'm intrigued as to what this "slide controller" is...

Looks nice, I like the glossy look.
