@GR781

Sounds like we're agreed then. I actually think we'd get something close-ish to this and think that the controls as were in TP were only a first approximation of what we'll see in the future. We'll definitely see something like direction and orientation, if not speed included. It won't please some people though and they won't get that you can't just waggle endlessly and expect the action to be replicated on screen.

I think that's the thing with Wii Boxing isn't it? Some people love it but others claim the controls are broken. Turns out that it's just a case of not being able to continually shake your hands and expect the game to translate all of that into moves.

I think it'd only be gimmicky if the rest of the lightsaber play wasn't up to scratch.

I'm with you, Dr_R. I think you grasp the concept. It would be extremely difficult to trully get 1:1 sword fighting. It's not that hard with other gestures, but sword fighting in particular is an activity that requires a lot of small movements.

At the same time, I do hope they can come up with something closer than they did with Twilight Princess.

Finally, I don't think we should judge Lucas Arts too harshly. They obviously did what they thought was in their best business interest. Now they see that they were extremely mistaken, and are taking steps to correct that. For what it's worth.

That being said, they can't give us a crappy port or a half-baked game. They have to trully put effort into it, or they'll see no sales at all.
