This week Wii owners can pick from a plethora of classic favourites on Virtual Console. First up is 1993's Streets of Rage 2 from SEGA, sequel to the iconic Streets of Rage and one of the best scrolling beat 'em ups of all time. Boasting an excellent soundtrack and all the much loved features of the first Streets of Rage, as well as impressive graphics, this classic game will make a welcome addition to anyone's collection and is available for 800 Wii Points.
ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron from SEGA is also up for grabs this week. In their first side-scrolling platform adventure these two quirky aliens must rescue planet Funkotron from an invasion of cheeky earthlings. The only way they can do this is by catching them in jars and posting them back to Earth at the end of each level! ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron is available now for 800 Wii Points.
Bolstering this week's SEGA invasion is Kid Chameleon, an action platformer which originally launched on SEGA MEGA DRIVE in 1992. As Kid, players must play through up to 100 levels to rescue missing kids from an evil video game boss called Heady Metal. On the way, players will find magical masks which transform them into nine super-powered characters. Kid Chameleon can be downloaded for 800 Wii Points.
If you fancy something a little more sporting focused, then the 1992 Turbografx classic World Sports Competition is what you need. With an Olympic theme featuring heats in archery, rowing and shooting as well as track events, your button skills will be stretched to the limit! World Sports Competition is yours for 600 Wii points and with multiplayer for up to five players there is no reason your friends can't all join in!
This now brings the total of games available on the Virtual Console to 92. You would have to assume Nintendo will be doing something to deal with the issue of storage space soon.
