Nintendo News | Wii Hits UK Sales Record

By Jorge Ba-oh 02.06.2007 4

The Wii hit its highest peak so far this year last week with exceptional sales, even topping the traditional sales peak of the Easter holiday with an increased sign of hardware gradually hitting the UK.

According to MCV revenues of the console during the week ending May 29th were at its highest point so far this year.

This certainly shows signs of hardware finally making its much needed return to stores, with consoles gradually becoming far easier to obtain without months of arduous waiting and huge deposits.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

taking the world by storm, i love it.

Oh wow.... it's great there's more stock in, it really is, now all they need is some games.

But I wonder can it break launch figures? (Unless it already has O_O)

It's good to see that people are finally getting their hands on Wiis. It's a shame that Europe in general doesn't get as many games as North America and Japan.
