EA Talks Need for Speed ProStreet (Wii/DS)Electronic Arts has only just revealed that it is working on Need for Speed: ProStreet, but it has already gone on record for an interview about the forthcoming game, which is due on Wii and DS, as well as other systems.

Quick News - Over on CNN there is a closer look at the make-up of the Wii controller, and surprisingly there is focus on an 'audio translator', which apparently converts analogue data such as human speech and is currently unused. Quick News: Patrick Nagel, deputy marketing manager for Nintendo Germany, recently took part in a Q and A session in the Nintendo Center, according to NintendoCast. He revealed that with some luck Nintendo plans to publish Mario Kart Wii, and definitely release Metroid Prime 3 this year in Europe.

The Need for Speed addiction continues with EA announcing Need for Speed ProStreet, another high octane racing title for home consoles as players once again take to the streets with customized cars and snazzy ladies.

Nintendo have announced that the upcoming addition of the not-so-well received Zelda II (NES) marks the 100th classic title to hit the far-better-received Virtual Console channel in the US since going live in November 2006, confirming that over 4.7 million units have flown through the Internet since the store opened its doors.

Quick News: The world's favourite yellow mouse will get his own themed DS in an interesting looking design posted on the Official Japanese Pokemon website: a yellow DS Lite with a small Pikachu logo in the corner. The special edition is said to not be available for retail so perhaps through events/competitions.
In a recent edition of Famitsu, Final Fantasy III DS producer Tomoya Asano and Executive Producer, Director Takashi Tokita discussed the success of the DS remake of the classic Square RPG along with hopes for the upcoming FFIV update also for Nintendo's portable.

Quick News - O3 Entertainment has contacted Cubed3 to confirm that the much-delayed US version of Milestone's Radio Allergy on GameCube has officially been cancelled due to lack of retailer interest. However, it is stated there is hope of it coming to Wii as part of a compilation - perhaps with Karous/Crows?

Quick News - Square Enix's DS RPG, Heroes of Mana, has just appeared on German ratings website USK, confirming it will come to Europe in the near future, seemingly self-published this time, unlike the unfairly overlooked Nintendo-distributed Children of Mana. Whilst we wait for official confirmation, check out C3's opinion on the game below:
"Wii can be a success" is a gradual notion that third parties working/intending to work with Nintendo's Wii have given the success of non-Nintendo software on the system since its release late last year. In a recent conference call Activision CEO Robert Kotick addressed the third party Wii-debate.
