Impressive start for Mario Strikers.
Played it for the first time today, seems to be good.
'Connections' are unique users I assume?
Seems about right given the ads.
wow thats alot, this probably means that Mario Strikers is good, since so many people have went online!

Not really. It means it has sold well, and if you've bought a game thats big thing is going online, the chances are you're going to use it.
The good review scores and feedback on from people are what suggests it's good, not short term online stats which are linked to sales. Shit games sell well too.
Isn't it only out in EU so far? That's pretty good for EU only...
have they sorted the server issues then?
Apparently the server's much more stable now...and these aren't unique hits, according to Bo130. It's just how many connections are made in total
Yeah I was just thinking, 500,000 uniques would be ridiculous.
In one week, yeah! With ~400,000 in its first week as well, that's around ~900,000 connections in just two weeks, which is mightily impressive for the first online game in Europe on Wii!!
i want tp play a online game on my wii but i got got this i hate football what the next one out in uk to be online play?
The game must be doing excellent in terms sales
well it's a fantastic game anyway.
Woohoo Tetris!! I just hate how there's hardly anyone to play. It takes like 2 minutes to find a player.
I can assure all of you who have not got it or played Mario Strikers, that it is in fact absolutlely ridculously fun and the online is brilliant.
There is definately some technique and strategy required to perform well in the game.

Hmm, kinda. I played somebody yesterday who repeatedly lob passed the ball around over my head, then used Dry Bones' cheap-arse teleport move to go under the goalkeeper. It's definitely a technique, but it's a shit one.
That's a bunch of connections. We will probably be able to get a better picture of whether it will remain popular or not over the next few weeks, but for now and just one region, that's pretty good.
The game doesn't really catch my interest though. Not much of a soccer fan.
To answer the previous question, the next Wii game to go online will be Pok
Shipton I don't like the continual lob pass when its done to me, but its just like normal passing except in the air and you can intercept the passes by pressing the B button.
Going under teh goal keeper sounds like the mole character, these are all skillshots that each player has and if there was no such thing then it would just be normal football.
There is also strategic play required in knowing when to tackle and when not to tackle. As tackling a player without the ball gives away a power-up.
And so now Nintendo think 'Oh shi- People CARE about online!? O_o We better make our online system better, FAST'
