Nintendo Media | Smash Update: Ridley Battle Music

By Jorge Ba-oh 13.06.2007 7

Today's update on the Smash Bros. Dojo comes as a musical one with Metroid: Boss Battle Music added to the orchestrated collection of Nintendo themes.

  • Composition Supervisor: Minako Hamano
  • Arrangement Supervisor: Yusuke Takahama

    This song appears in a variety of games in the Metroid series.

    It's the theme song for Samus's arch-nemesis, Ridley.

    In the original game, most of the places where you heard this song were the sites of fierce battles.

    As such, this arrangement features a suitable sense of cruelty and tension. It's magnificent!

    Be sure to stick around for updates...

    Sounds like it should be in a Mission Impossible movie, but it seems pretty cool.

    I thought they were getting a real orchestrated soundtrack with a big choir and stuff Smilie

    I can't imagine playing with Pikachu whilst listening to music like that Smilie

    ...= ridley !?!?!!?!?!?!?

    I never liked the Ridley theme to be honest... too repetitive.

    Metroid Prime's Ridley's theme music could sound quite good on the right stage I think. LS

    maybe this is part of a whole new game mode similar to adventure where the final boss is the character's main adversary? Smilie

    I've always loved the Ridley tune. But this is a pretty bad version imo...
