Nintendo News | Wii Freeloader a Fake

By Jorge Ba-oh 19.06.2007 13

Quick News: A quick repackaging for Datel's GameCube Freeloader allows to play import GameCube titles on your Wii, according to Siliconera. The previously advertised Wii Freeloader apparently "works with Wii" and not for Wii games.

ahu?
Dosnt the old freeloader work with the wii for that?

I thought the Wii when used as a Gamecube was a gamecube? (lowers clockspeed down, uses half the ram ect).
Much like the DS becomes a GBA. (halfs the clockspeed on one of its cpus).

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

I knew it.

While we're on the subject of imports; I'm gonna be playing Super Paper Mario tomorrow anyways Smilie

*sigh*...well there goes my hopes of playing Super Paper Mario and Scarface.

So what I said then.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Damn. I just bought a GameCube freeloader. Didn't know they were gonna go and release a Wii compatible one... Smilie

I contacted Datel UK's PR Department with a email about this story and whether they could confirm that it was true (the article in a italian retail website).

We've no FreeLoader for Wii yet, but watch this space...

Wii Freeloader

While browsing a retail site there I noted a product in the guise of one of your own. They say that the product is due for release on the 30th of June 07.

Can you confirm whether this product is a genuine Wii version and not a GC version compatible with Wii, and whether that date of release is in fact correct?

****

Well, hardly insightful Smilie, but it's is kind of good to know it's in the works right now.

I dont know about anyone else but if this comes out before the any of the big three, I will import every single one of those game and then some,* to come. There is no way in hell I am putting up with Nintendo's european release schedule as it worx currently- SPM.

*And then some Pikmin, and then some Animal Crossing- Games like these can take over a E3Smilie[LS]

Didn't I say something about this in the last thread...

They aren't going to release a freeloader until one can freeload any game you put at it.

The modchips are having trouble doing most import games. And they run on injecting code as opposed to loading it.

I'd reckon 2 years in the least.

-_- that's just horrible...I mean...they could atleast get it to work, it's a freeloader, shouldn't it work on any game for that certain system?

~~Thanks for the news!~~

You are the most random guy here. Anyway I was playing Smash yesterday, so it can't be fake.

Can freeloader read copy game?
