Following Majesco's success with Cooking Mama on the Nintendo DS, the publisher has now revealed a new project - Zoo Hospital for the portable format. Developed by Torus Games, Zoo Hospital lets players diagnose and treat more than 40 different species of birds, mammals and reptiles while interning at a world-famous zoo.
"Zoo Hospital is a fun and compelling combination of Touch Screen medical mini-games with a wide array of exotic and endangered species. Budding vets and animal lovers will gain exposure to different animals while learning how to soothe and care for them via real veterinary techniques."
- John Merchant, Marketing Manager, Majesco Europe.
In Zoo Hospital, players begin with 10 wild animal species including: jaguar, zebra, chimp, panda, hyena, kangaroo, lion, eagle, cobra and the endangered fossa. Gamers must identify and treat their ailments, while checking vital signs and learning how to calm their stressed patients. Players use the Touch Screen and stylus to tackle medical mini-games, including: administering injections, applying ointment, bandaging appendages, pulling teeth, x-raying organs and much more.
Step-by-step tutorials are available for novice practitioners and a Doctor's Observational Computerised Clipboard will assist players in determining various ailments. A two-player co-operative mode also allows friends to team up to treat their animal charges.
