Nicole Kidman Signs for Brain Training Adverts
Quick News - Following in the footsteps of Chris Tarrant, Nicole Kidman has now signed up with Nintendo to promote Brain Training for the DS, presumably in the UK (considering the story's source. The 40-year-old stated: I've quickly found that training my brain is a great way to keep my mind feeling young.

    Quick News - Following the release of the Metallic Rose and Gloss Silver DS Lites in Japan on 23rd June, South Korea will be receiving the new units on 7th July, along with Tetris DS, plus Super Mario 64 DS on 26th July and Big Brain Academy on 2nd August.

    Quick News - As well as CSI Hard Evidence for Wii (18th September) and a glut of other games, it appears that Ubisoft will be bringing two crime games to DS as well: CSI Dark Motives (18th September) and CSI Miami Nights (23rd October). Ready for a blitz of adventure games?

    Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Confirmed for US
    Quick News - Arc System Works' 2D fighter 'Guilty Gear XX Accent Core' for Wii has been confirmed for a US release via Aksys Games this Autumn. The game will include two new characters, GC pad and Classic Controller support, as well as motion-sensing controls for punching, kicking and special attacks.

    DK Jet Characters Revealed
    Quick News - The official website for DK Jet on Wii has unveiled a list of characters available in the racing game from Paon: Donkey Kong, Diddy, Dixie, Lanky, Tiny, Funky and two secret ones Cranky and Wrinkly. On the Kremling front there are: Kritter, Kip, Kass, plus 4 unknowns, one of which is a secret character, along with King K. Rool!

    Shinji Mikami Favours Wii and Xbox 360
    Quick News - When asked by Famitsu which system he would prefer to develop for, Seeds' Shinji Mikami (formerly of Resident Evil fame) responded: From the stance of a game maker, if you're looking for visual expression and reality, it's Xbox 360. Otherwise, Wii. But when will something be forthcoming?

    The latest issue of Play magazine has some interesting tidbits on the upcoming Metroid Prime sequel for Wii, Corruption, as Samus dons her spacesuit once more.

    Monster Jam Racing on Wii/DS
    Quick News - Torus Games has revealed it is working on 'Monster Jam' for both Nintendo's DS and Wii, amongst other systems, which includes 20 licensed vehicles, numerous stages (such as Forests and Docklands). Not much else is know for now, but stay tuned!

    Mega-Man on Euro VC, Breath of Fire II Soon?
    Quick News - Nintendo Europe has today added Capcom's 1989 platform action NES game 'Mega-Man' to the Virtual Console for 500 Wii Points along with Hudson's Turbografx game China Warrior (600 Points). However, European ratings site has just rated SNES RPG 'Breath of Fire II', meaning it could join Kirby's Ghost Trap very soon.

    Pro Evolution Soccer Wii Confirmed
    Quick News - According to reports, Konami's latest Japanese release list has been updated with 'Winning Eleven for Wii' set for an undecided release date. With FIFA 08 out soon, you have to wonder how long Wii fans will have to wait for Euro PES action...

    Factor 5, Bloody Wolf, Dr. Mario and Shining Force
    Quick News - The latest updates on the US ratings website ESRB shows these new games: Bloody Wolf (VC, Hudson), Dr. Mario Wii (Wii, Nintendo), Shining Force (VC, Sega), Super Turrican 2 (VC, Factor 5) and Super Turrican (VC, Factor 5). Strangely enough the Dr. Mario game sounds like a new update rather than VC. Could this just be an error, though?

    Xbox 360 Closes in on PS3, Nintendo's Wii Increases
    Update - Full chart list updated, including hardware.



    Whilst the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 both had big-name games released last week, it seems that Nintendo's DS simply cannot be stopped, with a game from a few weeks ago climbing back up to the top spot.

    Rising Star Signs Deal with Hudson
    Quick News - Rising Star Games has today announced a deal with Hudson to initially bring seven of the companies games to Europe on PSP, DS and Wii between September 2007 and March 2008. No doubt these will include Bomberman Land Wii and the recently released DS Bomberman from Japan.

    Nintendo's Wii Not at Full Potential in US
    Quick News - According to Ken Toyoda, spokesperson for Nintendo, the Wii has not reached full potential in the US since in the past the company has sold twice as many units there as in Europe or Japan. Currently figures are around 2.37 million for US, 2 million in Japan and 1.47 million for all other regions.

    Quick News - Following Square Enix Europe's comments on SRPG Front Mission 1st for DS coming to Europe recently, US publication 'Nintendo Power' has also now listed the game for release in North America.

    Quick News - Nintendo has announced that Japanese owners of rhythm game Ouendan 2 can download the Elite Beat Agents characters from the special DS Download Stations across the country, plus the Neko character for us in Single and VS modes from 28th June-11th July.
