Quick News: The latest Smash Bros Dojo update reveals the ability to assign custom button configurations for each registered player name, selecting controller type also, to make controller selections quicker for each battle. The team are also considering the ability to save names on Wii-remotes for portability.

I guess it makes sense for people using conventional pads and it's only 4 lettres at the end of the day, qwerty option for wii pointer input would have been nice. Unless the game dosn't support the pointer at all, I don't see any curser there on the screens.

Well, I don't really see the point of using the Mobile Phone thing if there's no pointer input... It was fine on Melee....

Oh well pointer functionality should be there with a full keyboard but it's a only a minor gripe within the game I guess.

I hope they can save the settings on the Wii remote. That'd be great.

Maybe you can have a combo assigned to one button. You pick you're favorite or hardest combo and assign to, say, the Y button (that was just another jump button in Melee, wasn't it?). That's the only I can think of that I would change from the default layout.

I really don't see what they would use the cell phone pad instead of the qwerty keyboard. Besides that, looks like this is the 1st step into online.

Smilie I don't have any problem with my name, I just need 4 spaces to write "ARJ3", but most recent I've been using the name "UDK". Those 2 names mean the same Smilie

As it goes for the cellphone format, I think maybe they wanted to be more "modern", which basically sucks. Smilie Why they couldn't make the regular keyboard?
