Both the PC and the XBOX only get one entry each into the top 10 with Nintendo formats dominating. Mario alone has three titles in the top 10 with Zelda getting two.

The list was compiled thanks to a poll of EDGE readers to get an accurate account of what the gaming community feel are truly the best games to ever grace disk trays and cartridge slots.
The full rundown features in a 260-page collector's book entitled 'Edge Presents: The 100 Best Videogames', on sale from Tuesday 3rd July, with a cover price of
