Give the Wii a couples of months it will have outsell the GameCube.
Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

Over half a million for Phantom Hourglass in just three weeks is quite a feat!

I doubt Phantom Hourglass will do better than Twilight Princess in the western terrorities.

I dunno if anyone else feels the same way, but, however good it is to see Nintendo back on top, the whole 'console war' has lost its spark, Nintendo is no longer the underdog, and the industry is once again in their favour.
Whats good about this is the fact that more people are playing games again, instead of cgi cutscenes, which wowwed so many disillusioned folk back in the mid-nineties, it seems the Nintendo fanboy was always right, so you'll have excuse his conviction, his extremist views and the pulsating veins in his neck when he screamed "FREE MARIO!"
But this industry is still about the games, and Sony dont belong here, no matter how much this proud owner of a PS3 and all of its picture and sound enhancing attributes making it the best DVD player on the planet, would like every Nintendo home console to tick the same boxes.
What comes next? Nintendo wont get lazy, instead they'll discreetly milk the success of Wii and DS, then, as before, they will introduce graphically superior versions of these machines, sparking another power over gameplay war, which is ironically, what got them into the mess they were in before Wii and DS dominated.
I hope they can see this coming, and are ready to counter act, long live Nintendo.

I don't think there is a question that it will do well. The DS has a massive userbase, Wind Waker was successful, and from reports the control is very easy to use, another plus for the DS crowd. If marketed properly I think it could easily surpass TP.

I agree, there are rumblings that the game is as good as OOT, surely that alone will make it a success in the west also. If they use the same style of adverts here as they use in japan, that would be great. It's gonna be huge, I cannot wait. Ive come close to buying a japanese import twice. But I know if I did buy it I would ruin my experience of the game. {LS]
