Nintendo Media | Smash Update: Princess Peach Does Brawl

The final update on the Official Smash Bros. Brawl website reveals the return of the Mushroom Kingdom's perky princess, Peach.

The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach is once again joining the battle! She'll do what she has to, even when she's all dressed up.

She can silence both Mario and Bowser with her floating jumps and Toad defense. This is no time to get kidnapped.

That dress has an incredible amount of detail. More polygons have gone into that then the entirety of Mario, I reckon Smilie

Another fine character model. I hope these items of clothing animate as well as they should. Cannot wait to see the animation for Ike's cloak.{LS]

2 characters this week, lucky us! This one wasn't too much of a surprise, since we'd already seen Peach in the little 1 player trailer.

I don't think Peach will have the same moveset. When Peach used that... exploding butt lunge (I forgot the real name. XP), her legs were completely in the air. I think she is just at the end of her basic 3 hit combo in the 3rd shot.

yeah I was thinking the same thing. The move is called the peach bomber in case your still wondering. I just notice they change the style of her parasol also adding a heart to the handel.

I don't mind if old character have the same moveset, I mean that's why old characters are there. But I would like the new characters not to have rehashed moves.

same here i hope the old characters have the same moveset, and i want the clone characters no matter what people say, have you people ever taken into consideration that with one character they're fast, but with the pther they're slow and strong, makes for a fine selection, adds more strategy and replay value to the game!

What does Toad actually do? I found him pointless in Melee as whenever I used him, he did nothing to the other brawlers. Smilie

Toad is a counter attack, when Peach lets out Toad at the same time she's attacked, she's defended from all damage & the damage that would have been done to her is unleashed on the person who used the attack.

Thanks god Toad won't be playable, did anyone else hear about the rumours of him in Melee? Well, it was a very Pikablu/Tails & Sonic in Melee sort of thing.

Just so you lot know... That's one of Peach's throws... I bet she'll have the exact same moveset. Her running looks different though. Unless that's her walking in which case... I have no idea what it looked like in Melee... Did anyone EVER walk in Melee?
