Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: Go K.K. Rider! Theme

By Jorge Ba-oh 23.08.2007 9

The second of today's Dojo updates reveals a funky new background tune for the Smashville level, inspired by the folks from Animal Crossing.

Composition Supervisor: Toru Minegishi
Arrangement Supervisor: Keigo Ozaki

It hardly needs to be said that this music plays in Smashville.

Many Animal Crossing songs are pretty serene, so there are a lot of songs that aren't very suited to a fighting game. What to do, what to do...?

Then there's this arrangement. As I sit and enjoy this song, it reminds me of one phrase in particular...

"Heroes always arrive late."

Be sure to stick around for updates...

You know, I've listened to all these orchestral music updates and none of them really seem too suited for a fighting game. I think, just like SSB and SSBM, I'm generally not going to be a big fan of this game.

love the kk singing, excellant tune for smashville

I like you. When I take over the world your death will be quick and painless.

I think they're making more of an effort with the music this time. In the last two games it was basically "take the most famous theme tune from the game and stick onto the stage" which worked okay, but it's much better this time round now that they've changed them.

Smash Bros is amazing. Just yesterday & the day before, I was playing Melee almost all days with a friend & my brother. It was tons of fun, really ,there were so many laughs, & they were some really good games, even if a little imba.

What games can last 5 years & still be so much fun? Not many really.

I like this new song, IMO it sounds more suited to fighting than some of the others I've heard. It's pretty accurate aswell, unlike some of the other arrangements. The problem is, "Go K.K. Rider!" is a short song that loops a lot, like all the music from AC, so I'm wondering how they'll get around that for Brawl. There's one verse in instrument, & one verse with K.K. singing, but what next?

I was also playing melee yesterdaySmilie me and four friends went at the melee for hours and then we made obscene jokes about characters. THen the funniest thing happened someone playing as pichu picked up the bat and hit pikachu the paused result was pichu with a bat in his mouth at the same time the bat was between pikachu's legs SmilieSmilie
but all in all Melee is the only game I've had in my life that I would crave playing even after beating it several times. THe thing is now If brawl is better than melee where would I find the time to play Mario KartSmilie

I would have prefered Comrade K.K. or K.K. Cashbah...

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

If Brawl is better than Melee, then it would be a miracle, but it's also expected. I have this horrible feeling that Melee will simply be better to play.

Still, I did prefer the N64 version of SSB for a little while after Melee came out, I've changed my mind now though, so maybe the same will happen with Brawl? Although I also think I might fall in love with Brawl instantly.

Nice song. Smilie

The Yoshi Final Smash update was awesome, too. Smilie

It never gets old does it? Only other games that come to close in that respect is Starcraft, CS and Quake III.
