Nintendo Media | Geometry Wars Wii Trailer

Posted by By (Mason) 8 Number of reads 36799

Announced earlier this year, Vivendi is bringing Geometry Wars: Galaxies to Wii and DS in the coming few months. Featuring a single-player campaign mode and an all-new multiplayer mode, as well as the full version of the previous Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Galaxies aims to best its Xbox Live Arcade predecessor.

Players will be able to upgrade their craft (or 'battle drone') with new weaponry and equipment to be able to take on the hordes of new enemies more easily. In addition, link-up content between the DS and Wii versions is promised, as well as online leaderboards.

We've got a trailer for the Wii version from the Leipzig Game Convention for you. Warning: it's a little odd to say the least...

I love the music. It's totally wacky. I also didn't know that there'd be DS to Wii connectivity (although I guess it should have been expected with Vivendi on it)

Here's to hoping it doesn't cost

Don't believe there's been mention of the price so far - hopefully it'll be a nice budget title, though!

So basically, a bunch of loonies in strange stop by your house and annoy the crap out of you when you play this?

Of course, that's just an opinion.

That was AWESOME. Whose version of Particle Man is that? Doesn't really sound like TMBG.

If I weren't already going to buy this game, I'd be sold just because of their ad agency's good taste.

It's called Geometry Wars Galaxies, suggesting it is a entirely new game from the XBL incarnation, the makers have said so throughout development. It's a version with depth behind it and worth far more than 4 pounds.
