Surprised none of you seem interested in this...I reckon it looks pretty damn impressive!

And Layton 2 should be great as well - I loved the first one! Smilie

Footy RPG on DS?, I am, it just that it seems very bizarre, like that japanese take they had on American Footy (cannot remember the name of the game). I think it's unlikely to port here and besides the actual gameplay footage of matches does not look that great. {LS]

Eyeshield 21? I always thought that had a good chance of making it out of Japan once Nintendo started handling the Wii and DS versions...

I think this could well come over purely on the strength of football/soccer in the West and our greater love of RPGs nowadays. Anyway, it still doesn't have a firm Japanese date yet, so I won't hold my breath just yet.

Yes Eyeshield 21, it was released in the U.S where it went unoticed I think it must of baffled americans totally with how it controlled and it's crazy gameplay mechanics Smilie. Nothing will compare to Madden and NCAA there.

I understand what your thinking but I would prefer such a game if it was designed by Konami or EA, or a european developer with a deep knowledge of the culture and the game.

In concept such a game for the DS is great idea if you could level up your team and then battle other DS owners. {LS]

Normally I wouldn't touch a football game for fear of dying of boredom from playing it, except those that try something new (Sega Soccer Slam and Mario Strikers), but a footy RPG, now thats interesting...

Makes me think of Shaolin Soccer. Could be a very interesting game. I'm always interested in RPGs that don't rely on sci-fi/fantasy conceits.
