By the way, I saw the trailer anyway, so does anyone who's played the first game know if more of the same is a good thing? I havn't played it so I can't say, but I've seen trailers & it looks it.

I haven't played the original, so I really don't see what any of the fuss is about. Looks like a character flying through hoops to me, yippie!?

Looks awesome. I'm a huge fan of the original, I really hope this lives up to expectations.
Also, did I catch a glimpse of Reala in that trailer? Smilie

The game has framrate problems by all accounts so the longer it has development the better. A steady framerate is vital for a game of this nature. Lolz, they really are looking to soak up middle america with this Disney style marketing, I think they will do very well with the title once they sort everything out.{LS]

I do not know what to do in this game either. I certainly do not have any problems to play it, I look forward to it, but they have to convince me to buy it yet.
Things unclear to me:
* controlling character
* goal of game
* feel of game
* presence of a 'magic atmosphere'

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

I think that trailer just rocked. 10x better than the last one.

They just need to sort out framerate and a few things on the animation side and hopefully it'll be good to go, though looking nice as it is.

I never played the original Nights so maybe I'm just being more critical, but I saw footage from the original and there was always a lot more going on on the screen. This footage seems to empty most of the time. I kind of prefer the camera set up from the original too. On a side note, they're definitely showing too much cinematic and not enough gameplay in these trailers lol.

I'm really liking the look of this now. I wasn't that interested in it before.

The new trailer is just brilliant, they've captured the whole magical/dreamy feel perfectly. The music is also stunning, I wish I could download it from somewhere. I wish we could have seen more in game footage though, but I still like the CGI trailers. Smilie

What's NiGHTS all about though and whats you objective in the game? I've never played the original, so I don't really know much about it. From what I see from that trailer, you just fly through rings and stuff.

NiGHTS play like the old school sonic games they a rank you have to get C or up.

u have to open all the steals in the area so on u kget the idea if u get hit to much u have become the kids and u have to free NiGHTS and get on with it

XD that more or less what u have to do and they a boss at the end... so if u love old sonic "who dont" you love this!

Um, I'll have a go at explaining it. In the original, you fly around a circuit collecting blue spheres. You need 20 blue spheres to free the 'Ideya' and take it back to the start. Then you fly around a different circuit that takes you around a new route in the stage, to get another Ideya. There are 4 Ideyas per stage, that you must each collect within the time limit, to progress to the stages boss. You get ranked when you beat the boss, and must get grade C or above to open the next stage.

The controls are simple; as far as I remember, you control your flight on a 2D plane with the D-pad, use A or something to spin to increase speed. Circling loops around enemies to defeat them, or to collect items with in the loop. L and R perform acrobatics for bonus points.

And I THINK thats about it...

E: Oh, and a lot of people say NiGHTS is very similar to Sonic. I personally can't see very many similarities at all...infact I think that they're completely different. But that's just me...

I can't see any similarities at all. Probably because I've played so much Sonic games. They look nothing similar, not even the style is similar if you ask me. Except for the cheesyness of course.

This is far cheesier than anything I have seen on the Wii so far, and that's saying something. Having said that there is no denying it's great marketing from SEGA. This game will sell very well in the U.S with a campaign of this kind, the problem is that it's going to miss christmas slot and that will impact badly on sales.

I can't say I'm expecting much from this title. It certainly looks nice, but there's no reason to believe the game won't stink. I've lost most of my faith in Sega.

Of course, that's just an opinion.
