Nintendo News | Babes & Gore Come to Wii

By Adam Riley 22.09.2007 18

D3 Publisher has revealed at this year's Tokyo Games Show that 3D action game 'Oneechanbara R' is coming Nintendo's Wii next year. Roughly translated as 'Older Sister Sword Battle R', the game appears to involve sexy women fighting against zombies in a very bloody environment. From early reports it appears that you can use the Wii remote for sword slashing throughout the game.

For an idea of how it plays, below is a trailer for the Xbox 360 title:

And that game's sexy intro can be seen here.

Finally, for those that want to see the models at TGS dressed in the Oneechanbara trademark cowboy bikini outfit, check out this article.

Nice touch of sleaze gaming for the Wii.

Felt sick just watching that trailer.

Looks very gore-filled indeed. Apparently the games aren't always too good in terms of quality, but here's hoping the Wii controls will give the developer much needed inspiration...I wonder if the Wii game will also be Z-rated (~18-rated)?

OneeChanbara and Earth Defence Force are D3 Publisher's most successful Simple 2000 games, so they did full sequels of both on 360.

This is most likely a new version of one of the two PS2 games (released in europe as 'Zombie Zone' and 'Zombie Hunter'). I hope this means they do an EDF on the Wii.

By the way OneeChanbara is shit.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Okay what the fuck...this is so not even making it to the US let alone New Zealand and Europe.

It's got to Europe twice already. Remember it's a budget game so no huge risk.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Publishers like 505 and Ghostlight are likely to bring this to Europe.

Looks kinda fun to me in a brainless sort of way...

That one in the bikini is really not wearing an appropriate outfit for fighting zombie hordes.

Smilie this is the wii one Smilie looks a good port of a 360 game lol

Looks sexy. I hope the bike bit is playable.

Less posty, more gamey.

Looks incredibly offensive. This tripe pisses me off.

Of course, that's just an opinion.

Wha-? I don't know much about Adult games on Wii, but what about games like Godfather? That was rated 18, & Manhunt 2 aswell...

Is this 18+ in a different way or something? o.0;

Anyway, good to hear the Wii is getting a wider range of games, even if it does sound a bit strange. Smilie but then again most Wii games are.

It says clearly in the wii operations manual or one instruction booklet that "Nintendo Does not sell Adult games"
And it was rated:
