Nintendo Media | Vertical Space Shooting on Wii (Shikigami no Shiro 3)

Arc System Works recently revealed that it would be bringing vertical shooter Shikigami no Shiro 3 to both Wii and Xbox 360. Now the first video footage of the Wii edition, set for release in December 2007 in Japan, has appeared at TGS.

Check it out below:

But will this game be picked up by the likes of UFO Interactive (Monkey King, another shooter coming to Wii) or even Aksys Games (has brought other Arc System games over, like Hoshigami Remix DS)? We shall have to wait and see.

Honestly this game is not very exciting. It's VERY ugly (the backgrounds are full of aliasing and PS1-like textures), the gameplay is identical to thousands others, and it's awfully slow and easy, which makes the game really boring... Even the bosses are annoying.

The only stage I enjoyed was stage 3, which looks a bit like Ikaruga's third stage (not half as good but still fun). The artworks are superb but that doesn't make a good shmup... Oh, and the music is average.

You better save your money for another game, even if it costs 30

By the way, only the 360 version has been confirmed for the US, with Arc System Works still contemplating bringing over the Wii version...
