Nintendo Speculation | Asphalt Urban GT 3 Coming to DS

Cubed3 has discovered, during a playtest of Ubisoft's new release 'Real Football 2008' for the DS (developed by Gameloft), that during matches Gameloft's racing game 'Asphalt Urban GT 3' is actually advertised on pitch-side billboards. With the first two titles making the transition from mobile to N-Gage and finally to Nintendo DS (and the first game selling extremely well indeed), this does not come as much of a surprise. However, nothing has officially been confirmed so far.
But why would developer Gameloft promote its racing threequel for mobile phones / N-Gage via the Nintendo DS? Currently C3 is waiting on Ubisoft's official comment and will update as soon as anything is heard. Yet it would seem racing fans not quite content with the fantastic Race Driver from Codemasters will soon get their third taste of the Asphalt action.

I'd be amazed if Ubisoft goes on to deny this now...why advertise Asphalt 3 if it's not coming to DS?

I remember last year i got Asphalt2 just 3 days before i lined up for the Wii. Oh the memorys.

Not for me although 'Real Football 2008' is, I had no idea about this title. Another developer attempting a football game on the DS is a good thing.

It's not a bad game of footie for DS, to be honest. Rather basic overall, but another solid conversion from the mobile scene by Gameloft...Asphalt 2 bombed at retail in the UK, failing to make the DS chart, despite the first game even making the Top 40 All Format list's Top 10!

Never had a chance to play the 2nd one but I did surprisingly enjoy the 1st one. It was a solid racing game for the DS. The 3rd one should be good. Wouldn't mind some wifi action.

Wait didn't Asphalt urban that came out with the DS suck so much it was unbelievable?

I thought the first was dire...but the subsequent ones are meant to be much better. Asphalt 3 on N-Gage got an 8/10 from IGN!
