ahh ok... yeah been wondering how the Wii-mote is gonna work... anyway i shall be using the GC controller!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I think most veterans of the Smash will be using the GC contoller. I will atleast try the Wii-Mote Nunchuck combination, but Im not expecting to like it.

Yeah somehow i don't see myself using anything else than the GC-mote!! I'm not saying that i won't even try to use the other types of controlls... I'll give them all a try just to see how the controls are... but Ive spend more than a 1000 hours on Melee using the GC Controller... so I'm gonna find it hard to suddenly jump to a new control system.. i think!

Yeah I think I spent literaly over 10,000 hours on melee seeing as I still play it now. So changing to a new control option would be a bit strange.

Aye - tis good to have four different control systems, really like the options they've given us! Usually with a new console you'd expect to learn a new input device but it's so darn flexible!

First option I'll try is Wiimote + nunchuck, just because that's what will be lying around and should work just fine. A, B, C, Z + control stick, all you need!

Secondly, I'also try the Wiimote option, people at the shows seem to like it.

Well I won't be using this control scheme...but it does help on not having to buy more controllers Smilie (for some...though i think most people will have numchucks for all their wii motes and will use that instead...)

This is a clever move on Nintendo's part releasing the control scheme before the show. It's going to go down a storm at E4All with even the biggest titles of the year being shunned by the public Smilie. Everyone is going to want to play Brawl after the Febuary disclosure.

I am game. I going to try this control scheme out. The B button may be a problem though.

sweet. now i have a few extra months to practice this control scheme.

To me it'd make more sense to make the "A" button the shield and the "B" button the taunt. The B button's hard to reach (like they even said), so it makes sense to assign the taunt to that. Unless they've changed it, the taunt isn't necessary at all. You need the shield, though.

The B button wouldn't be too hard to reach, well I wouldn't think so. But I would think using the - button to grab would be difficult to do quickly, either way I'll try all th control schemes, you never know if one of them would be better.Smilie(GC controller all the way!)

Y'know, all the whining about the B-trigger being a grab really makes me wonder how you people hold your Wiimotes.. I've got the Wiimote here, and my middle finger already rests against the B-trigger when I just hold the Wiimote sideways.. Anyways, I'll just be using the Wiimote, periodSmilie. The control scheme really works for me, in my mind, so I don't see too many problems for when I actually play the game.. Someday.. Smilie

Man my hands are just to big for that control option. Not to mention it just feels weird using my middle finger to game. Especially since I never had to use that finger before while playing any game.

I love it how they included so many different control methods. I would've been pissed off if they forced Wiimote on us, when it wasn't needed. Everything seems to be going right for Brawl.

I'm used to using my middlefinger for guitar and all, so for me it's not too awkward^^

I'll be using the GC controller, but the Wiimote option has been getting a worrying amount of praise (IGN Playtest).

I just don't get how I'm gonna easily be able to press the Minus button... & the D-Pad sounds like a problem... I mean, what if you want to do an up attack, but end up jumping? It doesn't seem to be clear how to press up without you jumping...

Well, it's not per se the playing of guitar. It's just a button you need to press in your head, lol, so you have 'full' control over your fingers^^
