As a fabulous end to the working week, it's time to bask in the glory of some gorgeous preview trailers for Super Mario Galaxy!

18/10 - Original Story:

With the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy hitting retailers in the next four weeks or so, the creative brains behind the project recently discussed the game in volume 3 of Creator's Voice bringing with them new videos and an orgasmic orchestrated theme.

    The music sounds awesome. Smilie It kicks most other game music I've heard recently right where the sun don't shine. This game is gonna be so great, & I bet it'll be criminally underpromoted. Compared to Halo3, it'll be like a normal game release. Infact I bet GAME won't even open early to sell it. Smilie

    Is the in-game music going to be a full ochestra as well, or is it just the theme tune? I was really annoyed when they did that with Twlight Princess. Midi is crap, and as graphics and capabilities are developing its really about time the sound did too.

    Anyway sounds absolutely brilliant. And the new power vids are amazing. SPRING MARIO! Smilie

    Well seeing as the main theme is different from the video posted just above it, I'd say that a lot of, if not all the songs in the game are orchestrated Smilie

    You can really tell Nintendo are giving this game their all. It looks incredible. Smilie

    Fantastic stuff!, I would definitely get it once they do release it seperately, I love Koji's work Smilie. I have a feeling this is going to feature some of his best. My Pro Logic II is lying in wait Smilie. I am sure it has been designed to make use of the advantages of the format Smilie.

    SMG doesn't have the same "buy it at midnight" fanbase that Halo has. Game looks amazing though...and the music...*ear orgasm*

    Just watched a few more new video at Gametrailers and it looks absolutely amazing.

    Kind of makes you wonder where Mario can go from here though. I mean after you've done the Galaxy where do you go? Smilie

    universe..a different galaxy lol they should have a planet in SMG thats called Super Mario World, and it turns all paper mario style where u can change between 2-d, 3-d that wud be great, The music is good, sounds more Zelda than Mario to me though.

    Before you ask that, ask, where can't he go, & I've recently been reassured that Miyamoto is still a fucking genius. (No not because of Wii Fit)

    As long as he doesn't go past Mario Party 10, I think Mario's gonna be just fine. Smilie

    Miyamoto said the game is far bigger than 64 was. How much bigger we will all have to wait and see.

    This is looking and sounding superb. Even the spring mario made me laugh a little to myself

    4 weeks till Galaxy is released. Metroid Prime should fill a little bit of that time though.

    Yeah, but I don't think there is a music style that would go too well with the Mario style, Mario has always used midi, and I for one thinks it goes well with it. Still, that music sounds good, kinda weird to be Mario-ish, but still good.

    I've been actively trying to avoid anything to do with Mario Galaxy. I don't want to spoil the experience of playing it. I'm glad i looked at this though, the musics really good.Smilie

    New Japanese trailer. Fucking amazing. I love the second piece of orchestrated music (not the main theme, but that's awesome too!) This game seems to have pretty much everything in it Smilie

    < one month to go!! Day one purchase Smilie

    Oh, and it's out while I have a few weeks off uni for my dissertation Smilie = fail and complete SMG Smilie

    I'm in media blackout mode for videos, so I'm not watching those, but the music is fantastic and I'm having a hard time resisting watching the rest. Only a few weeks, though, and I have Metroid in a few days to help me through it, which I've been anticipating since before Wii launch, so it'll be alright.

    I've never been looking forward to a Mario game this much, though.

    Smilie That music is just incredible *faints*. It reminds me a bit of Pokemon music from the cartoon, I don't know why... Smilie

    This game is going to be so good. I can't see anything beating this apart from Smash Bros Brawl and thats it. Definetly going to be the best Wii game I reckon. I think this will be like reliving Mario 64 all over again, I've never been this excited about a game since Wind Waker, not even Twilight Princess got me like this.

    Christmas Day can't come soon enough for me, I don't know if I'll be able to resist that long though. Smilie
