Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: PictoChat Joins the Brawl

By Jorge Ba-oh 22.10.2007 15

Nintendo starts the week in style with a bizarre update on the Smash Bros. Dojo revealing a PictoChat themed level for one of the most random battle ideas ever!

There are only a few nonsense stages in the only "slightly" nonsensical Smash. But there isn't any stage more nonsensical than this.

PictoChat?! What is THIS?!

It's a fun little sketch-and-chat software with wireless functionality that's built into the Nintendo DS!

If you wait a bit, terrain gets drawn in with a few stylus strokes!

Of course, you can climb up on the doodles.

There may be things you want to ride on moving around.

The doodles that appear will disappear after a while, and then something else will get drawn.

Oh, and on this stage, you'll also be able to enjoy Mii Channel music and Wii Shop Channel music, too.

Be sure to stick with C3 for updates...

It would have cool if you actually made the level in pictochat using the DS then transferring it into the game. But still wierd. reminds me of Mr game & watch.

Now that's just cool. Smilie

This is confusing me. It is implying we can actually use our DS to draw things into the environment on screen? Or is it just saying every now and then a big stylus will come and draw something for us...

Brilliant but yeah if you could transfer your own designs via the DS that would be sweet, still this looks cool.

I think this is cooler then the game and watch stage. I hope the drawings are randomized and not in a preset order.

Sweet Smilie

On a side note I really really hope they include a custom level editor that would allow you to create levels based on existing environments

It wont be a true pictochat experiance if there isn't a big badly drawn willy.

If you could transfor your designs their would be like 100 drawings of penis's.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Just what's Willy got to do with it?
*acts innocent*

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Really? No-one?

Less posty, more gamey.

Smilie i want to say it but it just not right to say it XD

This level looks wank. I hope their delay means theirs better stages on the horizon.

Enoch Powell was right, and you know it.
