With Mario's latest adventure hitting consoles in the coming weeks, details have leaked on the unlockables for those hardcore enough to collect and earn just about everything a Mario can do.

Luigi will be playable once players have earned all 120 stars, completed purple coin missions and defeated Bowser for a second time! The scan of a Super Mario Galaxy player's guide suggests he jumps higher and much further, runs faster, but has trouble stopping. Both brothers have the same moves..

I have not read it, besides nothing can get in the way of me not enjoying this game. I have pre orderd my copy and am counting the days like a jailbird Smilie .

We get the game 4 days after you, maybe 3 for those like me that have pre orderd from a big online outlet... I agree playing as Luigi will be cool but no doubt he will be so hard to control. I am going dark on this game, I dont want any spoilers, I already know far to much.

On a side note I wish Princess Rosalina/Rosetta (initial name) was a brunette.

You don't need to Luigi in that version of the game to make the controls difficult Smilie . I cannot wait to see people doing speed runs on this game like they did with 64, they should be amazing to watch. The long jump in this game is pretty easy to pull off in contrast to 64, here you just press two button simultaneously..

I don't mind "spoilers" like this one, considering I never got close to doing all this stuff in Super Mario Sunshine and most likely wouldn't have even tried in Galaxy without knowing about this.

Even so, I'm not sure what the advantage is in getting a new character after you've gotten 100% complete twice, unless there are further surprises (or maybe glitches) only accessible with Luigi. If not, it seems like a waste.

You don't have to beat the game twice, just Bowser^^

They will be filtering through in excess very soon, you can be sure of that.

Apart from the odd review I will not be reading many, I will only be taking a look at Gamerankings and Metacritic tracking it's progress, that's all. Some of these reviewers show skank regard to those that would much rather prefer to not know certain things.

I have never so eagerly awaited a videogame since Super Mario Bros 3!. Then I stood outside my games shop at 6.00am in the pouring rain waiting for the store to open Smilie . 14 days tomorrow, w00Tz! Smilie

Not a huge spoiler? Are you joking? First of all was meant to be having a media blackout, second of all, it's one of the greatest unlockable secrets of all time, a true tribute to the legends & myths of Super Mario 64 for sure, a dream come true for all those who lived through the countless rumours & hoaxes.

Also I spoiled the final boss for myself. Way to go me >.<

After the initial shock of spoiling what would have been the best surprise in a game ever, I'm happy he's in it. I'm just incredibly upset I couldn't find out the way I was supposed to.

Bit annoying to find out this way but then again I probably wouldn't have bothered getting all the coins or stars in the game if I didn't know.

At least now I know theres a fairly decent reward for collecting it all.

When I read this I said "Hey, for me it's just great to have the green plumber back in action", I don't have anything against it despite my favorite hero Mario.

It's just cool to add something like this 'cause I got bored after I finished Sunshine at the 100% rate so this will add more gameplay time.

...oh well. im not a huge fan of luigi, but it makes sense to include him as a playable character. any word yet if Yoshi makes an appearance in the game yet?
