I have to look hard for differences in this tiny caps.
I'm in for No 1 (left)!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

I think I like the one on the RIGHT!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Ooh! Very nice feature, I love teh Cel Shading, always will with Tales games, so I'll be going with the right prolly.

I want the game first, then I'll decide.Smilie

Yeah, agreed, I guess I should change that to: if the game ever comes out here, then I would choose the right one. Smilie

^^ cant wait for it not see alot of new symphonia i hope the story as good on that and this as it was in the GC one ^^

Looks better without the outline. It looks rubbish in PH as well. WW looked better without any outline, no idea why they put one on the DS version with its 2x2 pixel screen.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

..because its a hardware function, very easy to turn on/off.

Personaly, I like the outlines, but would prefer AA.
(which the DS can do better without outlines)

On. It could change when I videos but from these static pictures I'd want it on. Gives it a cel-shaded feel.

The outlines were too thick in PH, indeed.

I honestly see no difference in the above screens but from PH, I have to agree, the outlines were quite thick.

Pixel outlines are a hardware function? Sure you don't mean cel shading?

Okay, someone explain to me wtf outlines exactly are, or what you seem to consider outlines, because as far as I know PH (I'm assuming this means Phantom Hourglass.. >.> ) doesn't have any 'outlines'.. >.>

EDIT: NVM, couldn't find any pics where you could see it properly, but I finally found one pic that did show it.. Still, how the hell are they too thick?..

They weren't too thick, they couldn't possibly have been any thinner. They were just unnecessary.

Yeah, the fact I actually never really noticed them said as much. iCame found them to be too thick, though, so that's why I wondered^^

The weirdest thing is that they're brown...

Well, some of the artwork I've seen has brown outlines, so it's probably just a weird style decision to keep in line with the artwork.. It's still odd, though..

Well, there's plus and negative points to both I think. Without the outline, the character on the left looks better defined in places, especially his legs, and overall just looks nicer.

However, outlines can help separate foreground objects from the background, so they don't blend into each other too much. Like the un-outlined guy's helmet looks like some kind of giant mushroom in the background if you look at it a certain way. The monster looks better with outlines I think.
