Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: Training Mode

By Jorge Ba-oh 20.11.2007 8

It's time to take players to the training stage in today's second Smash Bros. Brawl update.

If you brawl for a long time, there is one thing you will definitely start to think: "What can I do that will help me be able to win?" For that, I've implemented a training mode to help you get to know the characters.

At first glance, nothing about this screen seems unusual. Bothersome displays are hidden at first. The settings screen appears when you pause the game.

Oh! There it is!

You can produce lots of items.

You can put in three computer opponents, and jack their damage meters way up.

And you can see how much damage different combos do.

You can even put it in slow motion.
(But...you can't tell that from a screen shot.)

You need to know the moves, whether you're trying to hit with them or avoid them

Hey they haven't revealed a football yet!

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

Looks better than the SSBM versio, which was already pretty nice.

Looks exactly the melee version, which isn't really a bad thing. I love just putting a shit load of bob-ombs and detonating them at once.... hahaha

Oh yeah! I didn't notice the Football before... hmm. Maybe it's like a more bouncy version of the green shell?

I always loved using training mode to try & find the rarest Pokemon in a Pokeball. I guess now I can do the same with Assist Trophies too Smilie

Yeah I wonder what the football is about?!?!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Maybe Mega Man will come to kick the soccer ball(foot ball for all you UKers)Smilie
