Simon, the first Prof. Layton is still in the Top 50 of the M-C charts and has sold over 650,000 copies, possibly even around 700,000+ by now. No wonder retailers are confident the sequel's going to match that figure quickly! Smilie

Nice figures and professor layton thats just incredible... never even heard of the game before I might have to pick this one up to see what all the fuss is about.

Not that interested in WiiFit dont get me wrong the concept looks good but I think stuff like this is a little played out on Wii especially with the likes of Wii Sports and Wii Play (yes I know its a completely different thing to them but still).

Layton is becoming massive already it seems! Great to see...and I hope February's US release of the first game sees it get similar success in the West.

People need to remember that Wii Fit is releasing on 1st December, rather than Thursday, 29th November, so will only have a couple of days sales on the M-C update that week, compared to Prof. Layton's full showing.

I wanted professor layton from the moment I saw it/him.

Smilie WOW that is a lot of boards! Does anyone know when WiiFit is coming to EU?!?!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

All we know is 'early 2008' at the moment. I guess Nintendo is waiting to see just how big the demand is in Japan first.

I wonder how many units they'll actually make. 10? 20?

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

1.8 million a month, meaning they are doing everything they can to create a steady supply of great product value to customers all over the globe. The demand will be huge, so huge they won't be able to meet demand for at least a full year.

The demand for Wii Fit in Japan is rising considerably. Nintendo has managed to tap into the female demographic already, with stores taking lots of pre-orders around the country. It seems it will definitely have a hit on it hands...and the Saturday launch was very wise indeed, capturing a sector of the market that just simply doesn't have time to pop out on a Thursday to buy a new release.

But I still feel Prof Layton 2 will eclipse it in the first week.

I can see that we share a paradigm synergy for exciting products and brands. Do you fancy coming round to my place for some gas mask buggery?

Sounds good, I'll guarantee to bring my long standing franchise which we can initially increase to show strong growth and momentum!
