As boring as Chess is to me, this sounds interesting...seems to have come outa nowhere.

I reckon this is one of Hudson's budget games from early in the Wii's life over in Japan...

I actually think Wii Chess is a Nintendo title o.0; it's been "Tentative Name" or "TBC" for a while now, pretty obscure.

I think your right, I do think it's a in-house affair also.

I think it would hugely successful if it has Mario as King and Peach as Queen as well as a host of other Nintendo characters on the board.

This could be very successful with typical Nintendo flair. As a keen player myself animating characters is something I would like very much, I hope that is part of the package. Mii support is a certainty.

Should be a Wiiware title and half that price. The DS had 42 All-Time Classics for

Sounds good, decent price too. Online chess seems to be a hit with PC variations so should fare well on Wii for sho'

Yeah chess is the sort of game i was wanting to get on WiiWare for about 1000 points...

Why not WiiWare? I'd probably get it if it was.

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

WiiWare would be nice, or having it be part of a bundle of other board games like checkers would've been nice to.

If it looks exceptionally pretty I might consider getting it.

More details, sadly no Mario-fied version Smilie

i think this most def would best to be part of the wii ware selection of games.

I was looking at the list of pre order games on a few sites and saw it up there last week. I also saw a few sites are still listing pilot wings Wii is it a reality or do people just have their wires crossed as lots of people thought wing island was pilot wings wii

Sounds like the wires are still crossed, there has been no announcement as of yet on a Wii game. The dire crap that is Wing Island continues to fool many, some to the point of buying the game perhaps.

I don't see the sense in paying for this when you can play it for free on your computer.
