Why the frig would they do this when they could make a bundle selling them with Brawl? Or are they being cunning and planning to release a wireless GameCube-ey controller for the Wii that doesn't need to have a reciever plugged into the top of the Wii?

Probably not...

I dont care I have a wave birdSmilie

I don't care I have fourSmilie. I agree with Mr T this is plain dumb, unless of course they are planning a new controller to bleed yet more money out of us. Hey if it's white who cares right Smilie.

I would love one of those white gamecube controllers that came out with the Crystal Chronicles bundle in Japan. Bloody Nintendo Smilie.

4 Wavebirds must've set you back a fair bit. I would go out and blow lots of money on three more, but it means I get to feel superior to my mates when playing Smash Bros/FIFA/Mario Kart Smilie

I always had just two for a long while but then I thought I really had to snap up another two quickly. I paid around

Yesh, bundle one with SSBB! Smilie

I remember getting an imported Wavebird from the US before they came out here, was the most awesomest thing ever.

Cubed3 Member

Well the wave bird is great and all, but the lack of rumble keeps me playing with the classic GC contoller. Now if they develope a new wave bird with rumble I'll be the first to run out and buy that one.

I had 2 WaveBirds...

They both broke. Smilie

So now it looks like I won't even be able to buy replacements.... maximum lameness.

Bundle with SSBB plx. Smilie

They were always too expensive for my likeing anyway.
Looks like I'm sticking with my wired-birds.

I just completed pokemon yellow! 151 pokemon seen and caught.
Surely that's worth a star?
Cubed3 Member

The Wavebird is my favorite controller. This is so stupid. There are so many people that are going to hunt for these when SSBB comes out.

Personally I didn't know any shops were still stocking it at all, and havn't been doing so for at least a year now...

Infact I don't think any shops sell any GC controllers any more. GAME sell imitations Smilie

I have a platinum colored wavebird, love it to bits. Shame people won't be able to buy more.

I always refused to get one, because they were so expensive in Europe.

In America, they lowered the price of the original controller and sold the Wavebird for the old price. Here they just sold the Wavebird for

Someone split milk on one of my WaveBirds, it's now almost completely unresponsive. My other WaveBird has ripped rubber on the control stick, so I don't want to use it from worry of making it worse.

Yeah I have one, but they sell Wii Classic controllers which are identical to the wavebird (almost).

ModeratorStaff Member

I refuse to admit Classic controllers are anywhere near as good as GC controllers.

Not to mention they're stuck to the Wiimote the whole time. Smilie

I too have a platinum one. It takes pride of place in my collection and NO ONE is allowed to use it other than me.

When I bought my GC Toys R Us were doing a deal, two Wavebirds and SSMB and one came with the console bundle. I was chuffed with that deal.

Noone was allowed to use my WaveBird but me either... yet it still fell to it's milky fate. Smilie

People are allowed to use my Wavebirds, the Platinum one is special and is kept away from liquids.

I hate Sony though. I saved up enough money to buy a shed load of controllers. Spice Orange wired, Mint Green (Tales of Symphonia) WaveBird as well as a few others not available in Britain then Sony went and forced Lik-Sang to close. By the time I found out about PlayAsia and other import sites they stopped doing the GC pads.
