Nintendo News | Altus Announces Rondo of Swords for DS

Atlus has announced a brand new RPG for the DS, a tale of a sacred blade that can save a kingdom who has just lost their king.
[quote]The King of Bretwalde is dead. His passing, both unexpected and unusual, leaves the kingdom in distress. As one realm mourns, another readies for war; the Grand Meir Empire, intent on conquering the world, prepares to strike the empty throne. Taken by surprise, the army of Bretwalde collapses under the vicious assault, and the capital city of Egvard is quick to fall. Only Spanta, the sacred blade, can spare the kingdom of its fate. Free it of its curse and restore honor and peace to the land!

Woo! My first news submitted.
"Thanks to C3 reader charwiimario for the tip."
You're welcome, jb.
This past year Atlus brought Luminous Arc to the DS, and it was well received by the press and gaming community. Rondo of Swords, seems to me, will most likely follow that path of "success" (Success is also the name of the developer, in case you didn't get it).
The battle system sounds interesting: instead of the classic "move, then attack" system, now the movement becomes the attack. It seems that you have to draw a line over a few enemies and the character will move and attack at the same time. I think that's very innovative and it will be good to see if the strategy factor becomes more relevant due to this.
The graphics look okay, except when in the chess-board like arena where they look very simplistic and GBA-ish.

Wow... looks great in terms of animations. seems to be a great number of them.
And the errand system is very good, because I am tired of looking too much after not used party members to level them up. Great idea!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!
