Smash Update: Test Battle: Tokyo vs. Kyoto

This was a very bad update and I was expecting a character update so . I guess it was OK, but I was expecting the last 3rd party for a better release hype.

We still have a few updates left before the Japanese release, so that hype can still happen.

The update was basically useless, all we know is that it doesnt lag much over distances(which we knew anyway), please give us another character pleaseee! we beg you sakurai our master!

Good because I have a minstrel betted on a new character before the Japanese release lol. But will the dojo stop everywhere on the japan release? I would be sad, but I will also have to close of my internet tube to avoid finding out the roster.

I don't think this games needs anymore hype before release.

I am sure there are more great updates on the way, some of which will even blow the biggest SSB fan away, but they are not going to reveal that sort of thing until the last moment

Nintendo are currently doing a lot of this testing I imagine, they did so with Galaxy also. HQ were checking out that game in the Tokyo office at every stage remotely also.

I think it's quite a cool update.

I love the look of the Lylat Cruise stage. I think it will probably be one of my favorites on Brawl, along with the new Mushroom Kingdom stage.

Dang kirby's FS is the Bomb, scary. I just hope it will run like that 4 times as far. Cause I have list of people I want to play with and I'm sure you guys do too.

I really can't wait for this game to come out. The test play is looking good.

Well the bumper item looks good, nearly wiped out mario

The smash ball looks terrible though, I really wish they hadn't included it. It looks gimmicky like Mario Strikers Wii and Power Tennis were, with the game stopping a couple of times a match for a shitty mini-movie and an overly-powerful move that can sway the game in anyone's favour.

Really not digging the look of that tbh.

well, i think that this is a good update, it provides proof that the wi-fi will be good quality, but the smash ball can be turned off im sure just like all the other items, but what i want to know is if you do that, will you still be able to use ZSS i really want her to just be a chooseable character instead of a condition met transformation.

Nah, they said ages ago she's not selectable, you can only get her after using Samus' Smash Ball move.

Im glad they didnt show anything today, coz I think they have shown too much for my liking!!

Also I dont like the voice at the end of the game where he countsdown... but the stages are fackin awsome!

The Smash Ball can be turned off, and pros should be able to dodge most of them pretty easily.

Personally I think you should be able to turn down the amount of damage they do, as they take off loads and have powerful knockback too... I'm betting they'll be banned from tournament play, which will be a huge shame for ZSS users, unless there is another currently unforseen way to use her.

I must admit I thought that Kirbys FS looked weak knockback but thats insane! And Diddys FS is high powered aswell, not to mention the stupid knockback value on Samus's

It also helped Kirby doing the FS in the air

Kirby's fs is so cheap, also snake and Ike's japanese voices sound cooler.

It's not cheap at all. He just did the FS in midair giving him a shorter distance to throw his opponents. If one of them were on the lower left side of the screen they could have avoided the FS

Unlike others may say, I liked this update! I too, wasn't sure if me and my cousin would have lag between us, even while we both live in QLD. This update proved quite useful. Plus I finally got to see ho fast sonic really is
