lol, what the hell?! Madness. Looks well worth keeping an eye on. What on earth IS IT though?
Lets all face the fact that EA is going down hill fast. At some point the CEO needs to re-evaluate their strategy for the Wii. These guys just are not trying anymore. It's odd to see a development studio claim that they would be able to compete with Nintendo but Bloom Blox, My Sims, and Boogie are the best that they could do. I'm wondering if any of those games would have sold on other platforms like the PS3 and the Xbox 360?
wow, cool eh.
it has sort of a Rube Goldberg feel to it, bit like Eledees.
i like the look of it anyway.
looks more interesting than i expected. seems the wii has a big leg up in terms of user created content stuff. want to see more stuff a la blast works and whatnot that take advantage of that.
I don't like the characters. I hope they aren't a big part of the game and that is focuses mostly on the puzzle side.
Looks promising. What I do like is how the characters fly away after an explosion, lol.
Unique.
That seems to be a powerful physics engine. I love how the characters look.
Very,very interesting game.
this should be wiiware.
uh....okay.
Looks like Boogie or Carnival Games.
I don't like it
I HATE EA
I don't like Steven Spielberg
and I need to blow up EA Australia's office...
Looks interesting, I hope it turns out nice.
I will build the EA office and Boom Blox it away. (this really should be wii ware)
Waaa! EA sucks! Spielburg sucks! Boom Blox sucks! *winge*
It's a new IP with characters that, though cute, aren't dripping with Dewy's Nutjuice, and the game itself looks damn interesting. Stop moaning because it isn't Call of Duty 4. This should be WiiWare?? Why? WiiWare couldn't cope with that level of physics sophistication. The Wii is what it is - embrace it and move on.
Also, did I spy some double Wiimote-wielding sections or was it just the multiplayer? I want a game with some double-gunnage,
Am I right in saying that this game is a sort of demolition puzzle game? You have to fire exploding block at the block constructions or move blocks around in order to gain points by demolishing as much as possible, taking advantage of loads of Rube Goldberg/Heath-Robinson-esque domino effects in the process.
Sounds great. Hope EA have put enough effort in to exploit the potential of this idea.
I remember old trailers from E3, and this is definitely one of my games to watch. It looked like a lot of fun when I saw it back then, and I sure hope it still will be.
So I say "pshaw" to all the naysayers out there, yes EA suck, but this game doesn't ;D
Yeah, it probably should be on WiiWare, but it still looks awesome.
EDIT: Just saw the trailer, the old preview was better, but it looks like it's still gonna be great fun.
( Edited 08.02.2008 10:27 by SuperLink )Looks like Jenga on crack if you ask me.
Wiiware...now. No one is going to spend $50 on that shit.
Looks interesting.... it might be a fun game, its made by Steven Speilberg and everyone knows the guy is a genius... so your brain tells you that the game will be good!!

EA are one of the only third parties who have proven that they're serious about the Wii and have made effort with it. They might not have made the best titles, but they definitely know what the Wii is about and to say otherwise seems ludicrous to me. Look at their output:
- SSX Blur, exclusive, brilliant game.
- Godfather Blackhand Edition, port with exclusive features, pretty good game with some of the best controls on Wii a year on.
- Boogie, exclusive, not that great - this is the weak one in their output.
- Madden games, multiformat, great controls.
- MySims, exclusive, nice concept and great in parts, not quite as good as it should have been.
- Medal Of Honour: Heroes 2, console exclusive, great controls, great online.
How you can say they're not bothering I'm not sure.
As for Boom Blox, this is looking a LOT better than I originally expected, and it looks like it's worthy of being a retail game to me, if not a full-price one. The physics displayed in that trailer are fantastic (would be great to see that engine used in other EA games on Wii), and while I'm still unsure how much there is of a game in there based on the trailer it's looking like an unusual showcase just the same. Could turn out to be a really good puzzle-type game. I'm interested.
I am quite impressed with the physics, and for some reason this game reminds me of Garry's mod.
i WOULD get that game, for sure...
It will definitely be a very nice sequel to raymon-type games, which I like...
I wonder will the game lag though? Seeing there are so many objects you can input and so many CPUs, i bet it would
Anyhow, great game to look forward to
I saw no lag. I actually like this shizz! Looks awesome.
I hope this fails miserably. I'm tired of Hollywood infecting my hobby.
