Wii Receives Death Jr PSP Port

By Jorge Ba-oh 13.02.2008 10

Backbone Entertainment and Edios are bringing the PSP title, Death Jr 2. Root of Evil to Nintendo's Wii.

1up reveals the port will mark the first apperance of the franchise on a home console, with proposed better texture work, higher polygon counts and an overhaul in all things audio/visual.

Producer James Stanley comments on the refined control scheme, "The ability to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to not only have precise aiming and control of the camera, but to easily switch back and forth between melee and ranged combat mode is ideal."

As expected the Wii remote is used to pointing, shooting and when it comes to hand-weapon combat, slashing, and the nunchuck gives players the freedom to move about.

Root of Evil is due to ship this Spring for Wii.

Urgh. Looks totally ugly - "best Wii title", my ass.

Death Jr only appealed to anyone because it was the first original platformer on the PSP, even though it was mediocre beyond repair. Without this, there's no reason to buy another Death Jr game.

The Wii has lowerd itself with PSP ports Smilie

Actually, LS, there are a few PSP games that I'd love to see on the Wii with revamped-ness attached. If it's a good game, I see no problem. Okami being an example on the PS2 front.

Death Jr, however, is rather meh, I admit. So I'm not really that excited.Smilie

Funny that Death Jr was the first PSP game revealed, now look where he's ended up.Smilie

Sony should make an agreement with nintendo and somehow bring MediEvil to the wii, that would be cool.. you know the game with Sir Daniel Fortesque.

Fixed

Konami is starting to become mediocre. These guys had a chance to bring Silent Hill over to the Wii. Instead we get games that did not sell on another platform, Death Jr or games that will not sell on any platform like Dewy's Adventure and Elebits. However Elebits looked fun but lacked depth.

I wish Komami would bring Suikoden over to the Wii. Its only a dream but it's a nice one.

Could we just... kill our Wiis now?

PSP games on Wii.

That would be like porting DS games to 360, except a bit more extreme.

You get what I mean though. FFS.

Why kill the Wii? Just ignore crap like this.
