Capcom has today updated its list of million selling games around the world, with sales counted up until the end of 31st December, 2007, showing that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition has started to climb even higher up the list, now overtaking Code Veronica on Dreamcast. Check out the full list below:
Capcom's Million Sellers:
With this data already being slightly out-dated, obviously it appears that Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles will feature on the next update, considering it had shipped 950,000 units at last count and is still going strong. In fact, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is still amassing sales around Europe, so who knows where it will finally end up if re-released at a lower price-point as well at some point. What else could be on the horizon, though? Devil May Cry 4 is a possibility, following its strong start on PS3 in Japan, whilst Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice could be in with a shot after accruing more than 500,000 sales in Japan alone and the Western release on the horizon.

Kind of a burn that RE4 sold more on the PS2 then it did on the GC. HAHA! Samething happened to Code Veronica, sold more on PS2 then DC.( Edited 14.02.2008 19:31 by Robertd1138 )

That's true Jesusraz I don't think PS2 Resi4 sold enough. If PS2's install base is 100 million + than 2 million sales isn't even a scratch.
hopefully I get to play all the games I wanna play in the weeks to come!

Shame that it did diminish GC itself even more. Releasing it to PS2 was like taking one of the only 3rd party million seller away from Cube.
But it did great - all of Resident Evil on Cube. Great to read that 3 on this list are cube-titles - and not even exclusives!
