Rumour: Mario Kart Wii Dated for Europe?

A possible retailer listing is suggesting a release date for the upcoming Mario Kart outing on Wii.

Play.com supposedly listed the game for an April 25th release in Europe, however it has since been changed to May 2nd 2008, still going in line with the company's "Q2 2008" ETA.

Some mind-boggling stuff. With shifting unconfirmed release dates don't start saving up just yet!

lol @ Play.com release dates.

Have and always will be a load of bull. Play said Brawl would be out May LAST year, and that MP3 would come out in April.

Retailers usually don't have a clue when it comes to dates. They just slap something on and hope for the best.

Although I have to say, Mario Kart Wii seems like it's come around so quickly. It sounds like it's practically ready for release yet we haven't seen an awful lot of it and it seemed like they only announced it for the first time yesterday.

I guess a lot of it has to do with the fact that Brawl has been the only thing on everybody's minds, and all other games, even MK Wii, have just been not as interesting to us and therefore Nintendo haven't needed to show much of it because we're all so happy anyway.

If that makes sense XD

Point is, MK Wii has come quicker than I thought it would. Or I've just been so focused on Brawl like everyone else that I forgot it even existed.

IMO Mario Kart Wii is gonna come out long before brawl, we got double dash in europe before the US so I think they will do the same. Sadly I think they will delay brawl in europe for a very long time, not for any sensible reason other than marketing.

I think it would be an idiotic move to release Mario Kart without any hype, what are they doing? I'd rather wait until Christmas for that and get brawl Q2 2008

play.com is stupid.. also didn't nintendo say that it might come out later in the year Q3-Q4, impretty sure that was the recent update on the date.
