Mortal Kombat Announcement on April 18th

By Jorge Ba-oh 08.04.2008 7

The upcoming installment in the long running Mortal Kombat franchise is said to be revealed later this month.

Midway will be holding an event on April 17th, said to be revealing details on the eighth outing for the warriors of the Earth realm. Formats and details are still unknown, but would likely be revealed publically later this month.

With the series receiving a fairly low reception recently, do you feel a huge restart is in order?

They have already said that the next game will be completely different. Will there even be a Wii version?

Who knows, a 360 version is most likely, here's hoping for a Wii version with solid control!

I'm hoping there'll be a vet present with a shotgun, whispering "it'll all be over soon" during the announcement.

it uses unreal 3 engine so its definitely not on the wii..

even though, the last mortal kombat i loved was 3, and thats cause i was a kid when i played it

Yes, they need to. They are just killing the series now. I use to love playing this on N64 but the ones after that were just... Smilie
