Update: 23/04/08, According to Nintendo Everything, Capcom have denied the rumours of the project coming to Wii:

There has been no announcement of ANY home version for SFIV, Wii or otherwise. This "mag" is speculating, not reporting news." - Seth Killian, Senior Community Manager of Capcom

But still states there is a possibility.

    Original story:

The scan, seen below, states DVD footage of the game on Wii, amongst others.

I say a simple mistake. SFIV on Wii? Too good to be true, I also don\'t really see it happening, unless it\'s a 2D spin-off, like Street Fighter IV Turbo Alpha TWO: The World New Challenge Fighters.

I think it's possible, using the Classic/GC controller - or even some weird Wii Remote/nunchuck combi.

I did read an interview with the devs of SFIV saying they'd love to cater for all systems, even if that means changing the game for certain consoles, i.e. DS, Wii, etc.

I believe it's possible some sort of SFIV game will come to Wii.

I reckon it's coming to them all, to be honest. Putting it on Wii is just too sensible from a financial perspective.

@ Azzy then just like me you read the 1up report. The producer did say they want to bring it to as many consoles as possible.

Exactly. I even hope they do a PSP version or at least allow for remote-play compatibility with the PS3. I'll be getting it on PS3 anyway and if there is a DS version I'll get that too.

Yoshi Ono has already said he would like to see it on all platforms including the DS when it releases, so I see no reason not to believe this.

Simez, if there is a DS version there will surely be a PSP version. It would be awesome if it has interconnectivity with the PS3 game.

It would be nice and interesting to see it on Wii, although I don't buy it on any console. But not anybody has to be a fan, no?
I would like to see how they achieve it technically. I fear they pull off the PS2-to-Wii ripp off.
I find your lack of faith disturbing!

The textures will likely be reduced if it does but the 3D engine looks easily replicable on Wii looking at the footage we see now. Anyone can play SF, you do not need to be a fan, this one is even more newbie friendly.

I would love this 2D fighter to come to Wii next year also-

I thought it wasn't real. I don't think we'll be seeing SFIV on Wii TBH, and if we do then it means Capcom have finally decided to be nice to Nintendo.

It's not about the money, it's about working on a watered down Wii version alongside the proper version without being tempted to work on a PS2 version aswell. That's the Wii's weak point.

I can still see a DS version happening though.

I've gone from being really pumped about this game, to not giving a monkies about it. I think it's because it's all crap and 3D looking. And what's he talking about it 'not being announced for ANY home system'? They announced it for 360 and PS3?

I could swear they were banding about 360 and PS3 as platforms? Perhaps I'm confused. I don't care anyway- it looks shit.

It has only been shown to date on running on Arcade at the CapcomGamersDay and GDC, they have never said which consoles it is due for.

Even this update does not put it to rest.

Yeah, looked at the Wikipedia article and it has no mention of other platforms, only Arcade.
