Q2 Euro Dates: Smash Bros Brawl, Nintendo Channel, WiiWare

Finally. How long is that after the US release?

Actually no, fuck you. Why doesn't Europe get Brawl by April? Ah well, better than usual I guess...

So only 2 months of Freeloading left. I hope NoE find a way to hype it up again. It's already lost sales because of this.

And good to see Pokémon Mystery Dungeon getting over here so quickly. Still no sign of Phoenix Wright 3.

In other news, it's fantasic that Wiiware is getting here so soon. I definitely wasn't expecting it that early. I wonder what titles will be released for it?

Also... wasn't Wiiware called "Wii Software" in Europe...? Why is it called Wiiware on that release list? If they're gonna be changing the name then that makes me very pleased

Same, I've had Brawl for about a Month now and haven't played it with the same desire/wanting to play it since Mario Kart game out. June's better than I thought, but still late.

I was hoping for a May release (like Melee).

The thing about Melee is, that was still 5-6 months after the US release, even though it's earlier in the year.

I think it smarts more because of the May 30th and June 6th rumours. My birthday is June 7th, so knowing that Brawl is released after then makes me more objectional towards the release date than what is probably healthy.

Good for summer people, but seriously a kick in the pants for the online Brawl community.

smash bros in June because:
April = Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit.
May = Wii Ware

And they're wise to let people play mario kart wii and wii fit for a while before releasing another massive game. Although some people may complete it in 3 days, most people will play them for several weeks before getting slightly jaded.

I hope they keep the WiiWare name instead of Wii Software too, Wii Software doesn't sound like a game service to me.

I'm more interested in WiiWare than Brawl to be honest, smash bros just doesn't pull me in, whereas having lots of little good games coming out every few weeks does. I think they won't launch loads of games all at once on release, they'll drip feed them, which is probably wise from a marketing point of view. You don't want loads of games out straight away then a lull in content, or else people won't keep checking it. You want people to get into the habit of checking it every week or so for new releases. I hope World of Goo and Lost winds are both out on the first day.

Finally, a bloody release date!

June the 27th works very well for me, Brawl'll last me all Summer then.

Also good to see 20th and 30th for Wiiware and E.N.C too.

The DS list is full of crap, with only a 2 exceptions, Nanostray & TWEWY. The rest are a example why the DS has become shit, while the PSP is in the ascendancy now.

The World Ends With You date is clearly wrong. SE are total crap when it comes to releasing games when SE fans are interested in them, which why Swords will fail miserably here, and deservedly so.

Bratz Kidz?! 1/2 these DS ones sound utter crap, and I'm sure they'll be that way. Quick summer cash-ins from rubbish devs.

Finally, tbh, i'm not that fussed with Brawl now due to the long wait, still going to get it, but not fussed, WiiWare on the other hand, yay! Force Unleashed, yay!

Linky, The World Ends With You actually did come out last Friday the 18th. They've just had horrendous stock problems, you can buy it online at the least.

I disagree a bit on the DS front as well; Cooking Guide (Cooking Navi, I assume), Etrian Odyssey, Apollo Justice, Track & Field, Monster Lab and the two you mentioned make it worth a look.

Shame that Smash Bros is so late, but it could be worse and we got Mario Kart and Wii Fit both before America, so I'm not whinging. WiiWare/Everybody's Nintendo Channel appearances soon is great news. I'm most disappointed that de Blob hasn't got a date to be honest.

This is a list of games for a 3 month period, you are interested in 10 of them (plus probably Mario Kart Wii which has already come out like Worms Oddity) in Q2. How many games to you expect to be interested in for 3 months? There are also wiiware games coming out in this period that aren't on the list.

Personally there's enough on that list to keep me going (plus plenty of Wiiware titles I'm interested in).

I think everyone is forgetting (especially with all the recent Wii is dead/shit/not for gamers articles popping up on't t'net) that E3 is round the corner, where there will no doubt be large announcements from several developers (we can definitely expect some "gamers' games" for Wii from Nintendo, Factor 5 and Treasure). The future isn't bleak, it's just obscured currently.

NOOO!!!! SMASH BROS IN JUNE, but thats too close to the confirmed release of MGS4, why must they do this too me. That only gives me around 13 days to fully experience MGS4 before another game has a chance to interfere.

Hmpf, I was expecting an early June release date, but this will have to do.

I'm looking forward to WiiWare, there's a couple of games I'm interested in. It will be a nice way to spend my Nintendo Stars. Which reminds me, I better buy some Wii Points a long while before WiiWare launches... They'll probably become rare again.

This is so dry. I'll probably be home for about 3 days in the whole of July, got two foreign holidays and a weekend trip to Alton Towers, then I'm moving to Germany.
