Formula 1 Racing Games Coming to All Systems
Recent News
After the recent acquisition of the Formula 1 games licensing deal by Codemasters, the next game in the series will see a wide-range multiformat release.
With Sony having published the most recent official F1 game last summer, available only on PlayStation consoles, Codemasters' deal will see F1 return to a multiformat platform for the first time in many years.
The game is set to be available on all major home consoles, as well as handheld and PC gaming formats.
Codemasters Studios has already begun preparations for the major task of creating the new game, by strengthening their team with personnel from the now defunct Sega Racing Studio.
There are 350 people working on the project, which will be based on the EGO Engine that Codemasters has put to good use on the Colin McRae: DIRT and soon-to-be-released Race Driver: GRID titles.
Wii and DS versions have yet to be officially announced, but with the popularity of both in the marketplace, it is likely we will see Formula 1 on them.

FlynnieThis is great news, i went everywhere in town looking for an F1 game a couple of weeks ago, but with the most recent avaliable to me being F1 2002 it was impossible to find. Even the usual F1 World Grand Prix on the N64 which there used to be an abundence of in Gamestation were all gone!
