The sequel to one of the best loved Role-Playing Games on the Gamecube, will be shown later this year and will see a release on Wii, if a popular German SEGA site is to be believed.
The website, SEGA ON, claims to have reliable Sega insider information on Skies 2, stating that it will be announced as early as the Tokyo Game Show, and is planned primarily for the Wii, although there is talk of a Playstation 3 version as well.
Speculation of the game's existence was recently stirred when it showed up on the listings for SEGA Gamers Day 2008, so this rumor has some strength to it.

Really strange if the PS3 is being considered alongside the Wii, would this game have a special emphasis on tilt control or something?

If you are one of the many complaining about lack of great Wii games, and you don't own Okami, then pipe down and go buy it.

Only thing I didn't like about it was the random encounter rate was a bit high.

As long as it's not as high as it can be in FFI/II/IV I'm OK. I can put up with that too. Sometimes on FFI/II it's just too much to bear though. ^^;

In some cave in either FF1/2 there was a bit were each step results in a battle. Very infuriating!

648 42 13.10.2004 RobboI loved the first one and completed it on Dreamcast twice and the cube twice. Its really something special. Hopefully Vyse and some of the original characters will be featured. I;d love to see Vyse as teh father/grandfather of the main character - seeing as Vyse comepleted everything anmd become Vyse the legend, i think it'd be hard to take him elsewhere.
If anyone HASN'T played this game, seriously, i recomend it.

11590 1479 11.07.2005 noneIt's a very nice, very charming game, but there's definitely an element of it's one of only two well-known JRPGs on the Gamecube and equally it's one of only two well-known JRPGs on the Dreamcast in its popularity.( Edited 11.05.2008 22:41 by Grumbro )

Yep, I remember that bit all too well. It's in FFI, and it's in the first big dungeon. There's a little path to the left of the main path and every step is a battle.
I'd gotten halfway down the little path before I realised what was going on. Same distance back on both sides... the pain!

If a game gets generally positive reviews and has many fans then that means you just don't like it :S
