New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS) Reader Review

Overall, New Super Mario Bros. is a great game! It starts out with Mario and Peach, minding their own business, when lightning strikes Mushroom Castle. Mario goes to check it out, while Peach waits. It appears nothing is wrong with the castle, but while Mario is gone, Bowser Jr. sneaks up on Peach, and kidnaps her! Mario works it out, and begins chasing Bowser Jr. Mario must chase him through all of, you guessed it, 8 worlds.

●Graphics●
Overall, graphics are wonderful!!! Making characters and monsters 3-D and backgrounds 2-D was pure genious! I haven't much else to say about the graphics... 7/10

●Sound●
I noticed in the Cubed3 review of this game the sound wasn't very good. I feel I'll have to disagree. I thought the music was one of the best parts of the game. Most of the tunes were familiar, and they added a new special feature: Important notes. Whenever these "important notes" would sound, creatures would jump and change direction. This has actually saved me from getting hurt several times. Overall, music gets 9/10!

●Gameplay●
The gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. is wonderful! The environments are lively, and controls are easy to use! 9/10!

●Length●
I had absolutely no problems with the length of the game. There are several things that can be skipped, making the game so that it can be completed within a few hours, or completed within weeks. I'm always looking for games that take forever to complete, so this one has kept me busy. I still have yet to unlock every star coin and level there is. Length is one of the best parts of the game. 9/10.

●Overall Rating●
For the overall rating, I just kind of took an average of all the ratings together and rounded it. This was a very good game, and I'm glad I had the chance to experience it! 8/10!
