Metroid Prime (GameCube) Reader Review

Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games. It's the first Metroid game to use the First-Person style of gaming. I think it was a good idea, personally. This has to be one of the top ten Gamecube games existent, next to Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker.

The game starts out with Samus Aran searching for a Space Pirate Frigate somewhere near the planet Tallon IV. Samus ends up destroying the Parasite Queen, chasing her target, Meta Ridley, out of the frigate, and later, finds herself in the ruins of this Frigate. She lands on the planet Tallon IV to search for Meta Ridley. Instead, Samus discovers that her friends, the Chozo, inhabited this planet at one time, but have all died out. She must seek Chozo Artifacts to unlock the passage to Meta Ridley, who she'll see often in her epic journey, but not encounter. Along the way, she'll discover a deadly radiative mutation substance known as Phazon. Eventually, she will encounter a Metroid that has fed on so much Phazon it has become the prime Metroid, otherwise known as the Metroid Prime.

●Graphics●
These are the best graphics I've ever seen on a Gamecube in my life! I absolutely had to give it a 10! There's not much else to say about it.

●Sound●
The soundtrack of this game is absolutely brilliant! When there are suspensiful moments, the music is calm. When the environment is calm, so is the music. When there's a monster in the room, the music is deep and frightening. When you're battling a boss, the real thing, the music is very intense. Whoever created this music is a genius, and whoever put the music with the areas, I owe them something. The music gave me a feeling of what was going on.

●Gameplay●
Gameplay is one of the best parts! My favorite part of video games is the opportunity to explore, and Metroid, very much so, has given me this. My other favorite thing is getting objects and discovering their uses. This also takes place often in Metroid, so I enjoy this series very much. Controls are easy, and your reflexes obviously improve with this game. I am able to fire several shots within one second. The only problem is that sometimes, First-Person can get to be a small problem

●Length●
I would have to say that length is at the perfect range. I think more games should be about this length. And it only takes up 2 blocks! It is worth hours of gameplay. I haven't yet had the opportunity to complete it yet, just due to the fact that it isn't that hard to not want to keep playing the game after you get stuck at a certain point where you just can't seem to get past. I rated Length 10!

●Final Score●
As I usually do, I came up with the average of the scores. It gets a 9 out of 10!!!!
