I'm getting an iDS (come on, you know that's it's REAL name). What makes it better, is that I'm not one of the suckers who bought the original horridly-large and ugly DS (sucks to be them)

Nah, i'm not getting one, I like the look of the older one. The only thing that makes me want the new DS is the brighter screen but it's a waste money just for that.

I'll probably get a navy one some time next year.

Yeah, I was such a sucker for buying one and enjoying all the awesome games for the entire year.

I am considering it, I think it is a good choice to buy one if you are one of the pitiable people who hasn't got one yet. I am probably not going to get atleast for a while. Mine works fine, and I have questions as to the durability of the DSL; one of the things I love about the original is that it is built like a tank.

I'm a sucker for waiting so long and finally getting a DS less than half a year ago.

Sure it's an ace console and I've enjoyed it immensly, but I prefer the navy blue colour to the one I have now, and it's smaller, brighter, etc.

Ah well I might *eventually* pick one up when they're cheaper, but I'm quite content with my current one for now.

I saw the funniest thing the other day at college, 3 people in a row playing on PSPs with clamshell protective cases to protect them. , the PSPs good looks just don't make up for its fragility.

I'll only get one if Nintendo or one of the retailers do a deal where I can trade in my old one and get an iDS for a fraction of the price. I hate being jipped by Nintendo... Constantly...

Ah well i've gotta admit, it is pretty fast for nintendo to release a "NEW" DS so quickly.. but i really like the bright screen hehe.

I hope I don't get any dead pixels though

Im considering giving my DS to my girlfriend or little bro and getting the positively beautiful dark blue DSl.

Yes, Navy Blue = FTW. the other is horrid though and white is just boring.

im not getting one. i agree with blade that the brighter screen is the only thing that appeals to me. besides, im saving up for memory for my computer

Since the iDS was announced, I was really glad I didn't get the old model. When I finally get my iDS, there'll be tons of great pre-owned games at knock-off prices. And the console itself will actually fit in my pocket comfortably.

the navy blue one doesn't look that great to be honest... the colours of the DSls that are out aren't too exciting...

Hell yeh! I'm currently pondering the most money-effecient way to get rid of my old DS! I was happy with my GBA when the SP came out, but I'm willing to splash out on an iDS because:

-It's smaller and lighter then then 'brick' old model.
-The D-Pad looks 100X better then the CRAP one for the DS.
-The battery life has been improved and the brightness is adjustable.
-And of course it looks sooo much sexier (yeh, girls are totally gonna want to sleep with me after I get an iDS, I can feel it!)

I might get one at some point, but my DS is fine as it is for now. I'd rather spend money on music, or games for my existing console rather than give it a purely aesthetic upgrade.
