Did anyone see the latest episode with Martin Clunes (sp?). I thought that he did really well. If there was going to be a permanent host i think it would have to be Martin. He kept control of the show whilst still letting Ian Hislop and Paul Merton talk between themselves. I also think that he suited the style of humour.
What do you think of his performance and who do you think would be a good host?

HIGNFY rules! I wished I lived over there just so I could get to watch it......
A new host? Have they taken Angus Deyton (SP?) off?? Smilie

Is it me, or is it hot here?

Yeah. He was caught doing drugs and hiring prostitutes or something like that. The show now has a different host each week. Anne robinson at one point Smilie !

It was great, and the references to that *coughing* fiasco in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was a laugh, but, I hated Ruby Wax... damn. Anyway, I agree, the host was great and the contant war jokes were a nice touch too. Although, it was perhaps a little, just a little, reason for V4's delay. Smilie

Friday is now complete -> My Family, Lenny Henry, Have I got news for You and Jonathan Ross... comedy Friday. Yipee.

Ruby Wax was irratating. That picture of the squirrel was so good.
Changing the topic a bit (a lot) did anyone see the who wants to be a millionare thing. The Tekkwon Whittick (hee hee Tefflon Pillow - only people who watch HIGNFY will get this) person coughed and then quite loudly whispered no. I was shocked at how obvious it was.

I'm with JB. 'My Family' - a sitcom on the Beeb that's funny? FINALLY! I must confess to being a big fan of Robert Lindsay (the dad in it) - he was Citizen Smith - leader of the Tooting Popular Front. Smilie

Lenny Henry is brilliant. 'Mrs Johnson....' - sleazy sod. Smilie I do miss Bernard (I'm very angry') from the first series though.

Yeah Martin Clunes was great. I also love my family, it's the best sitcom on the beeb since fools and horses. Nick is so funny.

Cubed3 Member

Pissed off I missed that one, I'm sure it was excellent. Smilie

HIGNFY is an amazing program, anyone remember the one where Paul Merton lifted his jumper to reveal the front page of some tabloid printed on his shirt which was about Angus and the prozis? That was hilarious!!! Smilie

Anyway, I always watch My Family when it's on, but don't really know when it is on...Nick is amazing though, very funny indeed!!! Smilie

Did anyone see the one with William Hague guest presenting. I think he did a brilliant job.

Cubed3 Member

I saw him. He did really well. I must confess that the more I see Paul Merton, the less I like him. His 'humour' is frowning/shaking his head behind the presenter's back - very impressive when you have aa moronis audience that laughs at everything you do. Still, when Hague said 'Because I tell jokes doesn't give you the right to a political opinion' - serves him right.

Hague did pretty well for a guest presenter, yes, but I simply dislike his voice/accent. Possibly too upper-class for me, I don't know, he just sounds like an idiot. Smilie

Maybe thats because he is an idiot Smilie he did okay...well he was excellent when you compare him to....Charlotte Church, god she was awful, she sounded like she had a poker up her big fat overpayed welsh ass...and she was totally out of her depth, she didn't have a clue what the other people were on about...oh well

I know. What a little brat. I'm younger than her and I would have had more of a clue about politics and current events that she did. They must really be struggling to get people...
