This topic is for all related Half-Life material. I love the original Life and HL2 and EP1. HL2 has some of the greatest game mods ever concieved including the ever popular Garry's Mod. I implore you to play this game!

He's Back...with a VENGENCE and Elmo!!!

I would load HL2 on, if I had the space. SOme good memories though, of doing massive domino runs with Garrys mod.

I played the orginal half life up until the xen world(think thats what it's called) and it got really shitty after that so i never finished Smilie.

ive never played a half life game coz my PC was crap... but now i got an awsome one... so i might try and buy it! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Sourceforts is good as well but it's extremely tough on your processor, mine barely copes when the piece limit is high.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Sourceforts was good for a while but has recently become a bit shite to be honset...

I love the original Half-Life, but I don't think I ever got around to playing any of the expansions let alone the full-on sequel, if and when I upgrade my graphics card the rest of my machine is finally capable of playing it so I will be sure to give it a go at that point.

PARDON MY NECROMANCY BUT...

I was thinking of joining the "Western FPS Bandwagon" and trying out the Half-Life series. Before I begin my purchase I have only one question: Does Half-Life: Source include the content from the expansions, Opposing Force and Blue Shift?

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Half-Life: Source is a straight port, lacking any new content or the Blue Shift High Definition pack.

Western FPS Bandwagon? FPS are pretty much all western developed arn\'t they?

Anyway you might want to wait on the BlackMesa mod if your going to play the original.

Damn, I was afraid of that...

I suppose spending $2 more to get the original with the expansions, even if they don't use the Source engine, is still good...

Half-Life/Valve engine is probably the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The former top user was Keven! You'd probably give birth to yourself 1000 times over until you sprout wings to fly away into the fading sun, that or you'd just turn into a lesbian. Who knows @_@ - L, 12/06/09

Theres a big sale on Half Life stuff on steam. Episode one is like £2.

Garrys mod is amazing...just sayin....

I cannot use any mods, for I play the 'maximum fail version' (console version). They are sweet games, though!

For Maximum failure at Maximum you should play the PS3 version.
