We seem to be getting a few different Spiderman 3 topics setup, so to keep everything nice and tidy. Here's the ONE AND ONLY spiderman 3 topic.

Before people start asking

1. No I won't sticky this topic, if there's intrest in the topic then non-bumping posts will keep it alive.

2. I'm not joking, this is the ONE AND ONLY spiderman 3 thread as I will lock any new ones being created and already existing one.

Venom looks crap he looks small and doesnt have any muscles...

Do you really think someone in the real world would be healthy AND as buff as the comic version of Venom? I think they've done a good enough job on him, and I quite like the way he looks

Its a movie not a documentary so i would expect them to make Venom from the movie look like the Venom from comic books or cartoon!

Yeah he does, and he has some baby teeth and normal human mouth....

Venom is meant to be a non-human monstrosity, its appearance is a parody of Spiderman. That thing in the movie doesn't look evil or indimidating.

To be fair, that screeny Venom is in the background, and he's blurry. Furthermore, it's a live-action film. You can't expect them to recreate Venom 100% accurately in a live-action film. I suppose they could have just completely CGId him, but I'm glad they didn't. It'll still be really cool to see Venom doing his shiz, even if he doesn't end up looking quite like he does in the comics.

Go for a bigger person then, and its not as if they didn't CGI Spiderman quite heavily throughout the first two movies.

yeah so i dont see a reason mpt to do the same about Venom... lets hope they do though coz if he looks like spiderman in black costume then im gonna be dissapointed

Meh, Venom hasn't been seen clearly enough for me to have a real opinion of it.

Well they didn't, they went for Topher Grace. It's not that big of a deal.

They should've done it like Davy Jones in Dead Mans Chest, or Golum in Lord of the Rings. Both were done live on set, then animated around the actor, they both looked brilliant.

So wasn't venom in the other films? I've seen them both but can't remember.

Nope, he's a first timer. I would imagine they didn't go all out with Venom, to keep it as 'family friendly' as possible.

Hmm, I hope they really push Venom in this film and either devote a majority of it to him or leave it open for the next. I'd love to see lots of psychological shit happen to Parker, with Venom having a haunting presence and then really going in for the kill.

I too wish he were a bit beefier, and I hope they do mix in a good dose of CGI for when he goes all symbiotic.

Really can't wait for this film, I was major pissed when they used Ock for S2 instead of someone like Venom, although S2 was good in itself.

Venom does actually have a ghoulish mouth in the film, they have tried to make him more emotive rather than just having one set look. LS

But Venom has only one emotion - Hatred. The symbiote feeds off negative energy and when the Symbiote attaches itself to Brock it also latches onto Brock's absolute hatred for Spiderman/Peter Parker who he blames for ruining his life. His hatred borders on the psychotic, that's all that drives him.

Personally i'm loving the look of Venom. Does exactly what he is supposed to- he is the opposite to SpiderMan and as such he should reflect SpiderMan and not being huge is an important factor in this. So for me Venom is fine, as long as he shoots his webs out of the top of his hands like he does in the comics and cartoons.

But Venom isn't the opposite to Spiderman, its not his evil twin or anything like that. Its a completely separate entity that has mimicked Spiderman's abilities, thats why it shoots webfluid from the top of his hands and not the underarm which is the webslingers would be.

Hmm, I think Venoms look is a lil' anticlimatic in comparison to his comic book origins.
Maybe at some point in the new movie he'll get mad and grow bigger?
